Fixed given MS's past strict adherence to deadlines.

Hmm, I'm using WinXP Pro 32bit and Vista 64bit in a dual boot configuration without any issues.

System is very similar...

ASUS P5W DH (975X based)
4x1GB ECC DDR2
2x HD 3870s
HT Omega Striker 7.1

I'm all air cooled with a Zalman 9500 HSF on the CPU.

Does your system crash in games, working with the desktop, or randomly both?

This happened at completely random times as far as I cold tell. Sometimes it occurred when I was playing games, browsing the internet, watching a movie, or when I was AFK sleeping.

Right now I'm using Win XP Pro and everything just works. No issues at all. I'm going to dual boot it with Vista 64 in the very near future. I don't think I'm ready to take the plunge to Vista 64 completely, I plan on keeping XP around for a while as everything just works. It's just killing me losing that 700+MB of ram in XP though.

So "hard" to keep up with the times, eh? It costs roughly $100 for 4 GB of DDR2-800: a huge deal-breaker.

Dick: "Golly, gee, gosh, Bob! Why can't I run UE3 on my abacus?!?

Bob: "You need more RAM, DICK."

Dick: "I swear technology is taking us backward."
