Those quotes are not a lie. They are sneer quotes which express my opinion of the man. I put that word in quotes because Trump is not a fit to be president, and will not be a competent president at all, not even to the standards of past bad presidents, no matter his formal title and position. That, of course, is just a prediction based on my opinion of the man. If I turn out to be incorrect about that, and I desperately hope I am, I'll be more than glad to remove the quotes. At some point near the end his staff took away his twitter privileges. And I agree that probably saved him. People have short memories. Very short.

But now he's president elect and who can tell him to put that stupid phone down?

I'm well aware I "have to deal with it." I am. I think he's shit. That is my opinion and in this country, I am entitled to express it, just as you were entitled to express yours for the past 8 years. YOU deal with THAT. Not handling criticism well is a characteristic of Trump himself. I have to deal with him being president, but he and his supporters have to deal with people criticizing him. You're the one being a baby here.

When a cop tries to buy heroine or cocaine, it isn't to participate in its use, but rather a bust. My guess is Trump wanted to bust the media and prove how the system is rigged.

Just because the media didn't bite doesn't mean they aren't willing to be bought, but they smelled an anti-establishment rat like Trump from a mile away and only sell to those in the circles they trust.
 
Trump is a character. Really good with the 3rd grade language. A better leader would have come in and denounced the violence and requested that people get along. Maybe even say something to appease them.

Trump comes along and uses playground language like "unfair". It's just hilarious.

I also don't understand the sentiment that one's opinion of another should change because they won a popularity contest. Maybe someone can explain that one, too.

I agree the poster is doing himself a disservice by setting low self-expectations, I'm addressing your own similar nod to BothSides. Why should anyone treat two different people the same just because they have the same title? This isn't contractual employment.

So this media that absolutely hated trump was offered gifts/money by him for better coverage and yet not one of them came forward during the election.

Uhm, he has tried to do similar things with the media for his entire life so this is totally in character for him. The odds that he was conducting a media sting operation seem to be just about zero.

By the way I wonder how his supporters are feeling so far about this anti-establishment guy as it seems fairly likely he will nominate the CEO of Chase bank to be treasury secretary. Lol. Take that, establishment!
 
Need I remind people that the Trump campaign got Lewandowski on CNN as a Trojan horse, and that this man is leaving the news outlet (likely for a position in the Trump administration) now that his mission of skewing coverage is complete?

The hilarity of claiming that the media was in Clinton's pocket is hilarious when even a casual observer could tell that Trump was buying favorable coverage. It's more just that Clinton wasn't the one flinging insults, lies and racist/sexist remarks virtually every day.
