So, I was browsing around for a universal laptop brick because the cheap one I got was giving unacceptable performance(laptop battery charge light flashing and making a crackling noise), and I stumbled across a mega-review of 74 power bricks. Seems like most of the units aren't available in the US.

Goes to show that one, OEM bricks aren't necessarily better, and that a good universal PSU costs quite a bit of dough. Also, besides this review, info on laptop bricks are scant, very scant.

And reliability has nothing to do with wattage, because all these bricks have low max wattage ratings.

And how about that Hama 90w unit. Ridiculously low ripple.

Much variance in measured data though, even if the bricks has the same brand name.

And many are on sale here in the states, as it seems some were meant for the EU market.
