Mega Mac Gourmet for less than a Big Mac FTMFW

Ghetto mac used to be one of my fav fast food items. But now that the mcdeez higher ups have caught onto it, it's no longer the $1 big mac it used to be. It costs about $2 for each one now that they charge for the sauce and the lettuce, and the increased price of the double cheese. That and if any of you have ever tried the ghetto mac, you'll notice that it somehow curiuosly tastes only faintly like a big mac, even though it seemingly has very similar ingredients. But if you ever order them side by side, you'll quickly notice why this difference exists.
The big mac is lavished gratuitously with big mac sauce and comes stuffed with lettuce. The ghetto mac, on the other hand, is skimped to niggardly proportions of sauce and lettuce.

<clarkson>But now, I have a sah-loo-shun</clarkson>

Meet the mega mac gourmet.
You get two double cheeseburgers, ask for no sauce and ask for the sesame buns now that you're not making a million and one requests, you won't feel like you're gonna get a loogie burger by making a request as stingy as getting sesames on your bun.
Then get the lovely one dollar menu side salad and get big mac sauce for the dressing. Now you have all the lettuce and mac sauce you need for your mega mac. Plus now you get gourmet leaves of a garden variety of spinaches and weeds.

Grand total - $3.38 which comes quite short of the $3.75 for the big mac, and you get quad patties, quad cheese, double sesame buns, and about 2/3rds of a side salad left over as a bonus. :awe:

You know what's fucked up? McDonald's Filet o' Fish sandwhiches come with a fucking half slice of cheese.

I get them a lot and I'd see this little half of cheese slice and I thought maybe it was just folded over. Nope, after getting many more of them and looking, it really is just a half slice of cheese. Schiesty bastards. The things are over $3 too.

I just ask them to put Mac sauce on the double cheeseburger when I order. I hate veggies on my burgers, so I just get Mac sauce, cheese, put on a little ketchup, add a layer of french fries ($1 menu), and BAM you get my signature McD's burger.

Ask for a full slice of cheese. I'd be curious if they'd charge you extra for the other half.

Sounds like the original ghetto mac from the youtube video. It's a tragedy that they charge extra for the sauce now.

Same price will get you a low carb burger at Carl's Jr and it will have the advantage of not tasting like shit.

Haha I just watched that video for the first time. I had a feeling I wasn't the only one who put fries on their burger.

I haven't been to McDonald's in awhile, but that really sucks that they started charging extra for the sauce. I like your quad style idea though...definitely going to try that!

I never understood why anyone would get a burger without the bun. Plus atkins diet is horrible for you.

That and carl's big mac copy cat doesn't come close to as good as the big mac. Jack in the box makes a better big mac copy, but still doesn't come close to the original.

i loved it when they used to do 2 big macs for 2 bucks. or 2 quarter pounders for 2 bucks.

I'd still love it if they have the 2 for tree fiddy.
They have it once in a while, on a third saturday of the month, in a two hour interval. :\

Fries on the burger is win.. i love that too. $1 fries are always nice too.

Yeah, just seems pretty ridiculous to have to ask for a full slice of cheese. Not like I'm out to really get as much out of them as I can. Has anyone else noticed that? I thought sure a couple years ago or even sooner there was full slices.

Even worse one night I got one and it had fucking mayo instead of tartar sauce. FAIL.
