Meet the Parents actress dies

The actress died Feb. 16 in Hollywood, four days after she reportedly checked into a Los Angeles hospital, was misdiagnosed and sent home with orders to take Tylenol.

and this makes news on March 10th?!?

that is kind of sad 🙁

but that scene is great in the pool, RIP.

She got that crud they are calling an epidemic going around.

I had it for 3 weeks. No one knows what it is, it looks like flu, mono, pneumonia, etc. I think it has to do with the lack of flu shots this year and no one is saying anything because they dont want a riot.

She passed away on Feb 16th and it becomes public on March 10th ? Wow...

So sad... She was a great actress...

RIP.

If you say so Doctor. No doubt you've never made a mistake in your life.

This is either one of the most apparrent cases of medical neglegence on the hospital's part I've ever seen....or there's something else going on that isn't being said.

Healthy 30 year old people with readily available access to quality health care don't just up and die from the flu.

I'm sure not one which led to someone dying.

Huh? It's ok to misdiagnose someone twice thereby killing them because it's just a human mistake? Oops I accidentally ran over a baby in my car. It's ok though because everyone makes mistakes.

I can see them misdiagnosing it once (though it is suspicious because you'd think tylenol wouldn't do much for congested lungs, which are pretty noticeable), but twice... I mean really. People don't return to a hospital that soon unless something is seriously wrong.

wtf? if it were your friend/relative who dropped dead after going to the docs a couple of times and being pacified and sent home you wouldn't be so cool with it.

Misdiagnosing someone resulting in their death happens EVERYDAY. The only reason anyone is saying anything about this is because it's someone famous.

They're doctors, they get paid as much as they do because the decisions they make DO mean life or death. They are still human though, they are capable of making mistakes, and in their profession it is very costly.

Winchester, I highly doubt it has to do with flu shots. i've never had a flu shot in my life, and I've never had the flu. Thats all just paranoia.

Condolances to her family.

no kidding it happens every day, but someone needs to learn from their mistakes.
