Meet Joe Black

My wife's girlfriend gave her the movie "Meet Joe Black" on VHS. It stars Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. Is this any good? The movie takes up two VHS tapes so it looks long. Should I bother watching this with her or run for cover?

Anyone have any opinions on this film?

It's alright, you probably won't remember it afterwards though. It's made by the same guy who did Scent of a Woman.

watching brad pitt eat it at the beginning of the movie is worth the price of a rental. then fast forward to the sex, because the rest of the movie sucks

First part of the movie: ok.
Second part: put it on fast forward. It's like: ffs, people, get over with it already. Whispering scene with fireworks in the background is the most annoying and cheesy ever.

My thoughts exactly. I was dragged to the theatre years ago by my then GF (now wife) and forced to sit through that snore fest. The worst part is she thought the movie sucked too, but didn't want to admit it until after it was over. I was practically clawing at the seats during the 2nd half going "make it stop, MAKE IT STOP!!!!"
