I just opened my MeegoPad T02 Compute Sticks. Got one of them hooked up, default Ubuntu 14.04 didn't want to boot in any reasonable timespan, so I tried installing Linux Mint. That didn't work, due to the "Hybrid UEFI" on these tablet-like devices. (x64 CPU, x32-only UEFI.) Neither the 32-bit nor the 64-bit Mint 17.2 discs worked.
So I pulled out my 32/64-bit Win10 USB stick, and wiped Ubuntu, and put Win10 on. Not sure if I got all of the privacy settings set to "off", but I'm having trouble with device drivers.
There's no video driver (MS Basic Video Adapter), and this is a fairly standard Bay Trail Atom setup, so I'm really surprised. I'm not getting HDMI audio either, because of that.
There are also some other "unknown" devices.
I tried going to Devices and Printers, and right-clicking the icon for the PC, and selected troubleshooting, and it prompted me for each unknown device, to search for device drivers (I am connected to the 'net), but then at the end, it said it couldn't fix any of them.
I was going to attempt to manually initiate a Windows Update, to see if the drivers (mainly the video driver) would come in that way, but I went to Control Panel, viewed by icons, and there's NO "Windows Update" icon. It's just NOT THERE.
What did they do to Windows Update? And how do you manually trigger an update?
