Medieval 2, after the patch.

Well I've given it a good 1.5 hour spin since installing, and heres what I've noticed;

Calvary AI is a little improved

Sometimes Units will attack, rather than stand by idly as their comrades are slaughtered ten feet infront of them.

Musketeer Units are still stupid (like having to reform for 20-minutes after one guy in the unit is killed or the targeted enemy moves and inch)

Cannon still overtly inaccurate against units (even smoothbore Cannon from the 15th century rarely missed and open target twice)

Diplomacy is still completely worthless (Bribe one rebel settlement and your reputation is stuck in the red for rest of campaign, get backstabbed and your relations go down with unrelated factions. Nations completely bankrupt and in dusk right before their doom still act as if they are the masters of the world and to even offer them a simple ceasefire is somehow "Very Demanding")

The latter is the biggest joke, specially considering how much the developers went on and on last summer about the "Revolution" of their revamped diplomacy AI.. I don't find the fact that alliances "mean nothing" that odd as most complained, its the complete inflexibility of other factions and groundless reputation system, that I find insulting.

This game deserves a A+ for the real time battles, however the campaign map AI developers deserve a pink slip and a kick out the door without so much as an explanation (as obviously their beyond reasoning).
