To inject the word "must" was misleading on your part... I didn't say that. I said it can be beneficial to draw out discussion from fiction. Which makes my point perfectly valid as opposed to what you stated that I said.

While you might do it, it doesn't mean I am close minded if I don't. I rather draw opportunities for discussion on the realities of every day, or on history. Discussion is good as I've already said but when one doesn't put the source of discussion in proper perspective it blurs the lines of reality.

Reality is only blurred when one does not learn how to critically analyse literature. It is a skill that is improved with practice (and is taught in schools). It is close minded to criticise otehrs and a discussion, simply, because it draws upon the works of fiction. Fiction has been used for thousands of years to illustrate ideas and possiblities and, even better, to allow us to experience what life might have been like for others in situations different from our own lives.

Repubs won't, they would rather do a "fend for yourself" mantality until it comes to police protection. They don't want the poor to be helped with their medical bill, but when someone comes to beat their rich prissy a$$ they want the cops to come help them.

Again, you state over and over that abortions should not be an option after being denied birth control.

So basically, if a woman wants to have sex under your rule, she should not have the option of getting birth control, if a woman does become pregnant because under your rule all pharmacists are denying birth control to women (The Santorum Clause) she should not have the option to get an abortion even if she can't afford the kid. And under your rule, all women denied both birth control and abortions, should just let their kids starve to death since under your rule, you would totally abolish Medicare, Food Stamps, and WIC.

Well if your beef is with Pharmacists being "forced" to do something they don't want to, simple solution, allow those with a prescription to buy it over the counter from drug stores that employ over-zealous pharmacists. One does not have to consult with a pharmacist to purchase condoms, nor should they have to deal with the Rick Santorum's of the medical community to get their birth control or morning after pills.
