Media Sharing Service is disabled?

I have been using Media sharing in XP to stream stuff from my Desktop to my laptop in a diff room, however, this has since stopped working and i keep getting an error everytime i open up the Media Sharing tab under library.

Any Ideas? When i try to manually start the Media Sharing service it says it started and stopped and that it may be normal.

I think I have actually had this problem before.. try unistalling the WMC and reinstalling it. You should be able to get to it from add/remove programs and maybe windows components.. I forget, but you can reinstall the same way or through windows update. If you would, try disabling your computer's firewall first and restarting the service to see if it works without reinstalling.

Service 'WMPNetworkSvc' did not start correctly because CoCreateInstance(WindowsMediaPlayer) encountered error '0x80040154'. If possible, reinstall Windows Media Player.

This is a message i got from event viewer. I reinstalled WMP and it worked fine for a day then it started again.
