Media player vs Outlook

Hi can you help here?

My wife has probs opening an email with a video attached. Using Windows XP Pro MCS media player 11 and Windows Outlook. The system locks up and she needs to reboot. I have tried uninstalling etc. I have checked codecs all ok. I Have also checked to see if there is a conflict with Outlook and MP 11 but it seems all ok.

Something behind the lines has to be wrong. Any Ideas please.
