I have an old camera that I want to use. I was thinking about buying one of those media card readers so I can just take pictures and then stick the flash stick in and upload the pictures.

Now, what would be a good and cheap one? Will the flash stick that my camera has work with it? I have the 2MB that is on this page. I also have a Relisys Dimera 3500 camera, if tht helps.
 
Check on http://www.steves-digicams.com . He has fairly reliable reviews on digicams and accys. But most of them will work just fine - they are really simple devices.

Tip: Get a Caig Labs (http://www.caig.com) Pro Gold contact treatment pen at Radio Schlock and treat the contacts on your flash card(s). That will help protect it/them during insertions removals. It would be good to treat the contacts in your camera(s) and card reader(s) as well. Just leave the contacts on your flash card fairly damp and insert/remove the card in your camera a few times (allow a few seconds between cycles) - get the card contacts damp with the stuff again and do the same to your reader(s). That is an easy way to treat those recessed/hidden contacts. then just lightly wipe any remaining excess off the flash card with Kimwipes, coffee filter paper or lens tissue (any lint-free paper). You don't want to wipe it all away as Pro Gold can 'heal' itself on insertions and removals
. Pro Gold is great stuff for all plated contacts and other stuff - if you have an iffy flashlight around the house, treat the battery ends and contacts/bulb within the flashlight - you'll be an immediate convert to the Caig way!
. Big cans of Caig stuff and technician kits are available at http://www.mcmaster.com at a decent discount and you can often find Deoxit contact cleaner on eBay at good prices - I have yet to see the big cans of Pro Gold there.
. Get yourself some Caig, you won't be sorry.

The Relisys Dimera 3500 uses a proprietary, non-standard remivable flas memory. It won't work with standard readers - this is an old camera worth today less than $13. Not worth the time to discuss it. 🙂
