I just got this game as a gift from my friend, seems fun... then it starts crashing.
My config is as follows:
Duron 1000
512 megs o' ram
ecs k7s5a
radeon 64 ddr
hercules gtxp
I've tried updating the video and sound drivers and am using winxp with directx8.1, it isn't in any specific place either but just crashes randomly, sometimes a whole level will go by and sometimes it freezes in 2 mins. The major issue too is that it doesn't just freeze the game but hard locks the whole pc and I've never had any lock ups on this pc to date. I've tried all different video/audio settings too.
Any ideas?

EDIT: Just wanted to add that it shouldn't be heat related since I've played loads of other games like RTCW on this machine with no even a hiccup.
