mechwarrior 2 had the best music of any computer game ever.

Hehe. Aww the memorys come rushing back! 🙂 I remeber when my brother first got that game, I would watch him play for HOURS.

When MechWarrior3 came out I had my own PC, so we both got a copy and played over the LAN.

I kicked his A$$!
 
listened to them all and they're not particularly special.

I like the UT2K4 Torlan track.
 
no way, Track 19 > *

most of it is really just 4 measures repeated , then another 4 measures repeated, etc. not really good music. but i just played the old total annihilation. now that's good music!
 
I remember the first time I played Mech Warrior 2.

I nearly creamed in my pants.


We need another new pc mech game.
 
MechWarrior 2: Mercs is still the best Mech game produced to date, imo. I used to be a big MW2 Mercs nut over the PPPoE dialup network and on Kali. The game was 10x more playable and versatile than the new MW3 and MW4 games. For some reason, those games seem so slow in comparison, especially for multiplayer.

qft. it's decent but certainly not the best.

some of my favorite tracks are from deus ex, chrono trigger, xenogears, descent 2 (in no particular order) etc

Chrono trigger was perfect in almost every way. They shouldnt have made the sequel, because there was nowhere to go but down.
