Measuring interest in shopping on Black Friday ...

I've gone through ALL my emails from stores like Amazon and Newegg ...

I've gone through ALL the ads that came in today's paper ...

I've discovered that I have absolutely no interest in anything having to do with shopping on BF.

You?

There are a few good deals, but I'd rather pay a few dollars extra and get them online and avoid the crowds. Wife is trying to get me to go to Wal Mart tonight.

I normally don't care, but Fry's has some good deals. I could use a new vacuum for 30 bucks and a FX-6100 for 100.

I feel like I should buy something but there's nothing I really need. Looked over at Slickdeals. Hot Deals here. Nothing. I think I just have too much crap.

im refreshing slickdeals because im doing a revamp on my system so I still need MOBO/CPU/VID CARD/SSD....hoping to get a deal on one of each before the weekend's over..already got the RAM deal 😛

Not planning to purchase anything big/expensive.

I did get the Lord Of the Rings EE Trilogy BR set from Fry's for $40 yesterday. Finished the 1st one already, about halfway thru the 2nd one.
Looks very good compared to the EE DVD set, except for the slight blueish tint.

I may get a few good deals on newegg and the like, but honestly, the wife and I are going to watch The Muppets instead of lining up for BF sales. Besides, we still are getting crazy completion discounts on our wedding registry. BF pales in comparison.

I wanna get a reverse L sectional for my living room, an extra pillow and some blankets. But that's about it. I should start looking now.

I have no interest at all. Online is where I shop 90% of the time and crowds drive me crazy. I'll just buy something if I like something but I don't go "looking" for bargains which cause you to spend more money in the long run. Thats a womans job.

This comes up every year so kinda repost.

I want a new TV. My current was bought about 6 years ago, I don't think the manufacturer is even in business anymore, and an upgrade would be nice. It still works though, so every time right before i click the checkout button, I think to myself, this is $500 i really dont NEED to spend.

Shopping done today: None.

I've also slept in a few extra hours and eaten leftover turkey, dressing, and pumpkin pie...for brunch.

National Leftovers Day FTW!

only thing i am kind of looking for a deal on is a samsung un55d8000 tv. i don't NEED one at all but if i come accross a deal thta is a couple hundred off the normal going price i will probably jump on it.

same if there are some amazing deals no mid/high end receivers or speakers. i'm kind of looking into piecing together a new HT system cause the wife and I are looking at houses now.

I sat up til Midnight making up a shopping list, spread across 5 or 6 stores. My wife and son's fiance went out around 4:30 this morning & returned at noon. Knowing quite well what the regular prices are on most (all?) of the items I wanted, I'm pretty sure we saved about $500 from what we probably would have otherwise spent. She got some really good deals on clothing.

fry's was a piece of shit. i had a list of like 8 or 9 items, didn't find any of them so I was like "fuck this" they didn't even have them period. Ended up going to Wal-Mart and picked up a vacuum so all is well.

same, its this way every year and most likely will be the same until the day i die.

there is no deal great enough to get me to stand in line at 2 am or whatever

I broke tradition this year and bought something on Black Friday, a 50" TV normally $1399 on sale for $875'ish with free shipping. I certainly have no plans to go anywhere and shop. Besides, I'm at work.

Same boat. Don't find myself really needing anything. Only reason I picked up a TV this year is my plasma from 2004 is finally being retired... to my son's room. That's the last time I bought a TV... 2004.

Only big ticket item we need to get before Christmas is a queen size sleeper sofa. I checked every furniture place I can think of and none of them are doing any special discounting off anything I'd want. Most are doing the same prices prior to bf but acting like its a bf price and almost all are trying to push long term 0% financing as some great deal. I don't give a shit about financing I but everything with cash in my bank dammit. Oh well guess I'll be stuck paying the usual prices.
