Measuring chest

So I have come to believe that my chest/shoulders are rather large for my size. Searching online, they state that you can measure the chest at it's fullest.

Do you measure right below the armpits or at the nipple area?

I weigh 164 pounds, five feet and eleven inches. When measuring the nipple area, it is 42 inches. When I measure the armpits it goes to 43.5.

What is right?
