so i've always claimed that my head looks like an acorn, but noone believed me... so, i decided to prove it. (i.e. i have too much free time on my hands)
step 1: find an appropriate picture
step 2: crop picture to include only head
step 3: clean up the picture. here, i removed all shadows around my face, the game, and the calender behind my head. i also normalized the background wall to where it was the same uniform color.
step 4: a slight warming filter to help with the color contrast, and further cropping to only include the head
step 5: neck has been removed
step 6: ears gone! (this is the creepiest picture, in my opinion)
step 7: i filled in my head with a nice shade of brown.
step 8: defined the hair outline a bit better and filled it in with an uniform shade of black
step 9: final image - filled in a darker brown for the head of the acorn
here's a nifty little gif that shows the transformation process from steps 4 through 9!
what's an acorn without a stem?!?!? nothing, that's what!
HELP! the squirrel's gonna bite my face off!
