So has anyone hear enjoyed a good glass of Mead?

I just recently got married, and we got three bottles for a wedding present.

It is some good stuff, let me tell you.
 
When my ex and I first started seeing each other she took me to a local winery...first glass I had was a mead...and honestly I didn't enjoy it. I'm more of a Syrah or Chianti person.
