Me start smoking?! :(

Yesterday I was hangin at a pool hall and a buddy of mine gave me a few cigs with my beers. First time I've smoked evaR! Stupid me liked it ... and I bought a pack today, smoked 2 on the way home. I know it's not very smart, but I like it ... I'm a pizza delivery guy, and I need somethin to do on those long treks. Meh...

I won't get into the cigarette vs. pot debate, but smoking is just unhealthy for you period. I don't even know you personally, but I don't want to read a thread in the future that starts, "HappyFace dies of lung cancer."

Coming from a former smoker, stop now.

Pros: Looking at it from the perspective of someone that's quit, there aren't any pros.

Cons: Decreased lung capacity, you stink, your clothes stink, decreased sense of smell, possible lung cancer, possible emphasema(sp?), possible mouth/throat cancer, expensive, etc...

Agreed, your lungs weren't designed to inhale smoke, it isn't going to be good for you.

As far as cigs vs. weed, that has been beaten to death.. but as others have said, nobody has ever died from smoking pot.. so that's where I stand on it.

from a money aspect alone if your delivering pizza for a living can you realy afford to start a habit that's going to cost you like $150 a month just for the cigs. thats not counting needing to spend more money getting everything you own cleaned constatly to get the stink out, getting your teeth whitened, and medical expenses further down the road.

Have you ever had a cigarette? I don't smoke (other than a cigar about once a month), and I don't think that HappyFace should start, but how the fvck do you know whether he likes it or not? When I would go to the bars I would occasionally bum a cigarette off of my friend and it's quite nice while drinking, but I didn't take it farther than that because I didn't want to actually start smoking.
