my K7TPro by msi is fairly warm at the northbridge, tho sys temp in the bios indicates about 26 celcius. Is there any problem with it being run when warm to the touch, and would there be any benifit to stability and overclocking if a small fan was attached to the existing heat sink, or even possibly a bigger heatsink + fan?

As long as it doesn't fry your finger it should be ok....I'm not sure if cooling it would get you more stability? But I would think that the cooler it runs the better the stability would be as long as it was causing unstability instead of other things such as bios settings etc.

A blue orb is always an option to try for stability and cooling a northbridge. My server, Obsidian, got a Blue Orb to put on the north bridge of the VP6. Much more friendly to oc'ing when it is cooler.
