Oh, I did forget to mention one of my biggest gripes with this game - NO TOGGLEABLE HELMET FOR DLC ARMORS D😀😀:. I have the Blood Dragon Armor, and it looks fscking AWESOME - except for the dirty dirty helmet. If I could toggle it off I would wear it around all the time because it's so beautiful.

On that note, I think the "armor" upgrades are kinda crappy. They give seemingly tiny bonuses, and you dont' get a chance to switch before starting a mission; the only time you can switch is when you go up to your quarters. I think this is annoying, so I just keep the same visor and armor setup I usually wear even though it doesn't look so great.

Speaking of Captain's Quarters... I didn't know you had to feed your fish all the time 🙁 mine died. Fortunately I didn't buy any of the expensive fish (6-7k).

Get friendly with your secretary 😉

100% Agreed on the pre-order/DLC armors. I really wanted to use the terminus armor, but the lack of toggle-able helmet makes it lame. Ultimately, though, the stats are all pretty weak.

did that, but I think my fish died before I got that option 🙁 oh well. at least my hampster is still alive... too bad it's not a giant miniature version.

If you didn't activate
Legion, you're missing out. He's very interesting... and has a *hugely* important loyalty mission

Where is he on the ship so i can go activate him? or is it part of the gameplay that you have to activate him.

Finished - awesome game - well worth the digital deluxe "with everything but the kitchen sink" edition. Saved the galaxy [and everyone on the team - including the fish and the space hamster], "romanced" Jack, Miranda and Tali [wish they would've shown Tali's face], and am ready to take on the final battle [Illusive Man is pissed off at me - but I don't care - he's and ass and he deserves it]

but he's only there if you didn't give him to Cerberus for the 50k bounty in the dialogue right after you bring him on board.

I really, really enjoy the combat gameplay in ME2, far more so than in ME1. I love it so much that I wish there were a ton more missions, even if it were just some kind of combat sim. It's fun blowing people up with Biotics, dammit! Hopefully we'll get a ton of DLC with tons and tons of enemies and huge, complex maps. 🙂

A few things piss me off:
- When replaying with a character that's beaten ME2, you can't change class. Frustrating.
- When starting a new ME2 game, if you want the full experience you'd have to go back and play ME1. There REALLY should be an option to select the major ME1 plot decisions for your ME2 playthrough, regardless of whether your new char has played ME1. I don't want to have to go through all of ME1 again just so I can be sure Kaiden dies, Wrex lives, and humans saved the Ascension.
- Consolish selection screens and GUI. I HATE not being able to make a menu selection simply by using my arrow keys and Enter. Very consolish.
- Toggleable helmets with DLC amor
- Needs way more weapons, armors, powers, maps, enemies, gameplay time. If an expansion provided this, I'd buy it.

It's a little bit strange that Cerberus will give you 50k for a live, intact Geth... when 50k is only the price of a 10% shotgun damage upgrade.

They're really stingy, huh? 🙂

Not to mention they can spend four billion bringing Shepard back to life but can't/won't spare a few thousand for shield and health upgrades.

Ok, I finally beat the game yesterday, so I can actually read this thread :awe:

What a game. That very well might take my number one spot for a game all time.

Yeah, it would have been nice if they kept it a little more RPG-ey, but gd was that ending epic as fuck.

10/10 is my personal rating for the game, only reserved for a few other games.

Bravo Bioware, Bravo

All time? Ouch. I enjoyed it but I should have waited for a price reduction to avoid the "cheated" feeling after finishing it.

Oh come on, it was not that bad and you know it. Unless you are one of the people who hate things because they are popular.

Sure there were some weaknesses to the game, some stuff could have been better, but it was great and the small downsides definitely do not make the game feel like you were cheated...

Hate things because they're popular? If it's a game, I hate them because I compare them to the games that came out years ago that were superior and more for your money. Besides, hate is a strong word. I still play Mass Effect 1 and 2. Whatever, must be nice to have just discovered your favorite game of all time.

And which game is better btw?

I didn't say it was straight off.

I said it may be. I have been gaming for a long damn time, I have quite a few games that I love and that I have put substantial time into.

To me it felt at least as good as playing Half Life 1/2 or Baulders Gate through the first time right after they were released...

Story-wise, I much prefer ME1. Gameplay-wise, I prefer ME2.

ME2's story was a bit of a let down. It's a constant build up to this suicide mission, and once I finally did the suicide mission, and all I said to myself was: "That's it?"

ME2 is still an awesome game, but the story was a little underwhelming, IMO.

Well, they're both worth having. The two games are roughly on par with each other, with ME1 taking the lead in some aspects. Just IMO. ME2 has its own merits.
I think he was asking what game(s) outside of ME1/2 you like better, probably so he can troll you back

Not to mention they can spend four billion bringing Shepard back to life but can't/won't spare a few thousand for shield and health upgrades.

and also not to mention that the Illusive Man lies to Shepard, oh, every time they speak to each other. Seriously, every single time. And sends him unwitting into the jaws of death without any heads up. Every time. They didn't have the dialogue options I was looking for probably because it would have pushed the game into Adult Only.

Just finished my 3rd playthru. I think I'm done with it now for a while, my ME jones is sated, at least until some extensive sized DLC hits, more than that last party member (human thief I think) thing anyway. Like 5 or so hours worth.
