<< OK let him live in a prison for the rest of his life.
Free room and board, cable, and gym. Paid for by my tax dollars, why not.

Federal Execution, my tax dollars put to good use!
>>

I say put him in the hole for the rest of his life. Never ever coming out to see the sun, EVER. Also, just throw food and water at him every day when they eat. He'll live.

Buddhist, I didn't miss the nature of his post; I just choose to respong to his post, since I believe skywhr holds the same opinions that I do...I, too, am happy seeing justice served...sorry it doesn't coincide with your "ehtic and moral' perspectives.

i would imagine the cost of one injection to be about 5000$, that can save hundreds from starvation

"As for your ethics and moral teachings, that it was schools and universities are for, not jails..."

I don't remember many schools teaching ethics and morals other then don't cheat and don't steal... (only rules to play fair in your matriculation)

all other ethics and morals are learned from religion, philosophy, culture, parents and village

With regards to:

"He does not deserve that kind of compassion and caring. :|"

Who said anything about compassion and caring?
The mind is much more torturous then any physical pain that could ever be imposed.

The "ethics and morals" of the civilized world is not for the death penalty, it is very much so against it.

Human rights under the UN charter exists for the norm and not the exception skywhr.

Its so we don't imprison and torture people just because we think they post stupid comments.

You can thank god for that one.

>all other ethics and morals are learned from religion, philosophy, culture, parents and village<

..take your cosmopolitan viewpoints to the T.V. and watch justice be served...As for a village, you sound like Mrs. Clinton. No, it doesn't take a village to raise a child; it takes people with strong family values...

He had two ounces of mint chocolate ice cream as him last meal, how ironic

'What if I stumble, what if I fall, what if i lose my step and make fools of us all, will the love still be there when my walk becomes a crawl, what if I stumble, and what if I fall'

I don't know where you think strong family values come from...

do you think they just appear from thin air?

No. Society, which is a composite of culture, religion and philosophy, passes on its theories of ethics and morality to the families. This is generally where most people inherit their sense of moralities. Some others are capable of seeing at a higher level and recognizing perhaps absolute truths which are of a higher order.

As for saying i sound like Mrs. Clinton. Thats really Low. :disgust: ;)

I do not feel sorry for McVeigh at all. However, I do feel sorry for his family. They have to deal with both the horrible act he commited to all those innocent victims and his death.

Please, Ma'am, I just ate....more than I can stomach. You know what, I don;t believe in god...my parents never attend church...I come from a small town in upstate NY, which has more bars and drunks than it has people...and I am probably the only one who has read Kant, who seems like your ideological hero....yet, we don't blow up buildings and kill hundreds of people...even in the absense of your 'moral, religious, ethics' nonsense.

Sorry I can't read your utterings any longer...I must go watch vehicle deliver our buddy to his death bed...thank 'god.'

Well if having this view makes me a pestilance of the earth so be it, if I killed 168 people and showed no remorse I wouldnt expect a life time of free room and board, Id expect the death penalty.

That makes everyone a mass murderer and according to your view on life then we should all be put to death.

Have to agree with the gulf war, he should have died there, but he didnt and kiling him now doesnt make anyone feel better.

being from germany where we dont have the death penalty, and i dont really know what would happen to a person like McVeigh since the highest sentennce here is something like 20 or maybe 25 years - i have a question to the supporters of capital punishment in generalwithout pointing to the ethical problem i have with the government as a killer and the psychological impact on the poor folks who have to do the job :
How do u consider the death penalty a severe punishment? Sure it is a punishment to be deprived of the privilege to live but with that u are also deprived of the privilege to suffer therefore, the DP is not really a punishment as compared to spending live in jail. Especially in the states where one can be sentenced to spend ALL his life in jail (think so anyway) I think that would be a real punishment even more so considering that "your" jails are not known to be easy living either...
but thats just my opinion
actually i just wonder what kind of ppl actually apply to the police or wherever to become a legal murderer?
