Good day all.

I’m currently working for an IT company, dealing with servers, Network printers, backups, VPN’s, ect..
I'm interested in the MCSE. I have completed the A+, N+, MCAD exams and wish to further my career in IT.
What books would you recommend as study material?
I have personally used Exam Cram books in the past and found it to be good, would those books be sufficient to pass the MCSE.

Thank you for your time.

Why MCSE? Windows Server 2008 has been released, Windows 7 desktop is rolling. I'd look into the MCITP role/job related certifications. They'll carry longer as once Official MS support for Server 2003 is retired, the cert will retire with it.

A book alone won't get it done. You should combine the book with using the OS on Virt Machines and practice tests (Transcenders or even the various "online sources" for practice tests)

2003 Server is still very prevalent. It will be for the next 3-5 years. So if you want to spend the time to get certified in 2003 and get the MCSE, that is your choice.

After 2003, there is no MCSE certification. Microsoft moved to more specific, individual certifications under the MCITP label.

For videos, CBT nuggets can't be beat. I, to try, torrented a few and they were so good I bought them. Also, check out cramsession.com

Lastly, two great sites are mcmcse.com and techexams.net
