I watched the fight with friends form my MMA gym. We joked beforehand about the fight being rigged for the money from a #3. After seeing the fight we all agreed that it was legit. Diaz slowed down a lot because he kept goading McGregor into punching him the face and Connor obliged him- eventually those punches had an effect. I'm actually surprised he kept coming back from the pounding he was taking at times. Connor definitely looked gassed in R3 but Diaz never really got to him after that so he had a bit of time to catch his breath. Plus, I think that he got a big mental boost after R3 when he realized that his takedown defense was really working and he could keep Diaz on his feet the whole time.

Of course it was fixed... or... you know, that's just how stamina works. I'm not sure why you're surprised the guy was being overly aggressive in one round didn't have the energy to keep on pressing the next.

...not to mention, while getting pounded in the face, body, and legs. The type of stamina, muchless guts, required to fight like that for 25 minutes is surreal imo. As painful as getting one's ass beaten on like that might be, fatigue can be even more painful and debilitating.

Did anyone else wonder what Ewan McGregor and Cameron Diaz were up to?

<embarrassed, puts a hand in the air>

There's a 'Lifeline Internet 2016' thread that's currently active that I initially guessed might be some kind of Internet-based emotional support thread as well.

lol if true

Nick Diaz ended up in the middle of a huge brawl while partying at Hyde nightclub in Vegas early Wednesday morning ... TMZ Sports has learned.

A rep for the club tells us the UFC fighter went to a bathroom outside the club around 2:30 AM, and accidentally stumbled into another customer ... who started talking smack. We're told Nick apologized and said he didn't want any trouble, but 3 other men then joined the first guy and jumped Nick.

Nick tells us, "I didn't start it. They didn't know who I was."

He tried to defend himself, and got hit hard in the head -- and then the fight spilled out of the bathroom, and out onto the Bellagio's casino floor.

The melee was insane -- the club's rep says the attackers were swinging chairs and brawling with club and casino staffers. They were eventually removed by security.

Nick told the Bellagio he didn't want to press charges, and told us, "They got the worst of it."
