I was thinking about buying MCE.....all my hardware listed should be supported, but I've read that setting MCE up can be a bit tricky...plus I wanna get my girlfriend involved in computers and this should be a good way.

thanks for any help!

sorry, I know the hardware can be tricky to set up....etc. Just was curious if there was an easy way to install or a certain number of steps to take first

There are a number of places you can go for good information.

PCPER was a good source for me.

Microsoft's NewsGroups was another good source.

This Page has a lot of good links and info too. Including the green button and other forums.

Just make sure your hardware/DVD Decoder explicitly says it's Windows Media Center Compatible.

I just installed MCE 2005 and I'm already experiencing some TV issues. I'm gonna work on the drivers for 150MCE and see if that helps.

What sort of problems are you having? I first built mine with the 150MCE card.

Come to find out, you need a DVD Decoder for Live TV to work....I didn't know that. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to TV viewing stuff. Installed Power DVD 6 and have had no problems yet!!!
