you fail

I've heard McDonald's uses leftover parts of the cow in its beef. Is this true?
Absolutely not. McDonald's uses well-known cuts of meat that you might buy at the grocery store, such as chuck and round.

the meat part

Yes. So the meat part is 100% beef. The meat part being beef. you are saying, the beef is 100% beef. That doesn't imply they don't use fillers, because the filler isn't meat. The meat could easily be 100% beef and there could still be fillers.

I just don't like the wording. They could have said our patties are made of 100% beef, that would have been less debatable.

Then it wouldn't be pure beef if it's got filler in it. Boy, this guy is as dumb as the OP. Oh, wait. He is the OP.

Obviously, when you buy a hamburger from mcdonalds it isn't realy 100% beef- it includes a bun, mustard, ketchup, a slice of pickle, etc. So I guess what they mean is they use *some* 100% beef in every burger. Which is kind of a useless thing to say.

Just my observation for the morning.

you can't be that dumb, can you?

Apparently he can.

100% moran.

Let's try this again.

100% morOn

P.S. Your right to call others a moron has been revoked.

The ironing is delicious.

My point was that the burger is not 100% beef. Unless the bun, ketchup, onions, etc are made out of beef. It's a false claim. The patty could be made out of a mixture of filler and 100% pure beef, and McDonalds could still claim it contains 100% pure beef. In that case it would contain 100% pure beef, plus some other fillers.

edit-
Look at the topic title. "we use 100% pure beef in every burger". If McDonalds takes 100% pure beef, adds filler, makes hamburgers, they certainly do use 100% pure beef to make the burger. Yet they still used fillers too.

I don't have anything against McDonalds, I was just pointing out terrible wording on their advertising. Can I understand what they probably meant? Sure, but I'll still make fun of them in this thread.

Or maybe the company they get their beef from is just called 100% beef. It could be half meal worm in that case.

Wow, you are a pussy then.

The OP is complaining that the bun isn't made of beef, you posted some company named "100% beef" myth that had already been snope'd much earlier in the thread, and you call me a pussy?

So, can I buy my bulk beef here?

On to the subject, 100% beef means that the patty is made entirely from cow, now if that cow "happened" to swallow some pig, chicken, horse, or rat, then it would be a part of the cow...

Chances are pretty good that the most nasty thing you are really eating is cow stomach, other then that, the FDA would love to shut McDonalds down or settle for a multimillion dollar lawsuit. But, nothings been found, so I doubt there is anything there.

BTW, the hamburger preparers are also a common source of nastiness added to the burgers, so be nice to them or they could very easily spit in your hamburger.

For what it's worth, PAM (which is 100% oil) has 0% fat. Thus, what does 100% beef *really* mean. And, how is it that a burger purchased in NY tastes exactly the same as a burger purchased in Florida tastes exactly the same as a burger purchased in Oklahoma tastes exactly the same as a burger made anywhere else? Add a few flavorings, preservatives, or anything else to the beef and there's still nothing preventing you from calling it 100% beef. I've long been under the impression (but haven't looked for a source) that their hamburgers had extra flavoring added to ensure this consistency.

Also, in regard to they use waste products of the cow - of course not! Waste products implies that they aren't used. As soon as they're used, they're not really waste, now are they? The butchers around here scrape every bit of meat that they can off the cattle - I recall cheek meat being one of the places they get more meat from. And, you just "might" purchase that at a store in the form of hamburg.

They should have to put 99.9% beef and .1% spit, bugs, windex and fecal matter.
