McDonalds sauce.. $.25 each?

I know not all stores charge it, but it IS policy to charge for sauce over what the meals allot for... but seriously, wtf?!

They were free for a long time. I see people grab like 700 ketchup packets, but never more than like 4-5 sauce containers.... so why charge for sauce and not ketchup?!

No, i'm not broke, i can afford it - its the principle. No, i dont eat a lot of fast food, i was in a hurry and it was the ONLY thing that wouldn't make me late. Yes i'm cranky b/c i just ate crap food that will take me a couple days to get out of my system 😀

The ketchup I've seen in McDs is the pump kind you have to put in a little cup so there's no swiping tons of packets there.
And yeh, they have gotten stingy with the sauce. Can't blame 'em. One should be enough.

But what about people who want BBQ or ranch for their fries instead of ketchup?
I'm not that worried since no places around here charge for them.

In my younger years when I actually ate at mickey d's. I would always require 2 sweet and sour sauces for my 9 piece nuggets and huge french fries. I liked to dip my fries in the sauce as well as the nuggets.

One is not enough! Two is though 🙂

i got some mcnuggets the other day and asked for some BBQ sauce and the lady gave me seriously 10 of them for a 6pc mcnuggets

i guess it varys from store to store

If they're going to charge, they need to post the price. Then it's fair game.

When I had my pizzeria, I charged for extra salad dressing. I had a sign and the price posted.

I encountered this also, McDonald's charging for BBQ sauce or Sweet and Sour sauce. I've actually noticed that it's only in lower class areas where they do this.

This one is in downtown Santa Barbara as well as Goleta.

I usually use 3-4 BBQ sauce b/c i get a 10pc nugget and large fries. I use the sauce for the fries instead of ketchup... so 2 runs out quick

Generally one sauce should be good for about 5 nuggets. When I worked at McDonald's we would have customers come in and ask for six sauces when they only got a ten piece nuggets. Of course we would charge them extra, yet they never seemed to see the logic behind it and would always get pissy.

I can see why ketchup isnt a big deal though, most people have it at home already and so they wont take extra and even if they do ketchup is much cheaper than the other sauces.

you must put no sauce on your nuggets, places never give enough sauce, and this isnt just McDs type places, 1 BBQ sauce at MCDs is good for 3 nuggets for most peopel i know

Thanks. I'll take that as a compliment. One is enough, and my petite waistline thanks me.
