It is rare that I eat fastfood other than Subway (which isn't great either), but coming home a couple of times from concerts in MA, I stopped at the Charlton rest stop off 90 at like 1am it's only Mcd's for a quick splash and go...and all times it has been nasty. Buns crumbling, apparent mystery meat, week old looking lettuce.... Last time, I packed some sammiches in a cooler for after the show.

LOL wow that is pathetic. They are much better here. The toppings are more evenly spread out and there's more of them. I had a Big Xtra today and it was good. I don't really eat at McD's very often but when I do I usually enjoy it.

I don't know what mcdonald's actually uses for the patties. It does not taste anything like a real hamburger, but it taste good regardless.

I don't eat at McDonalds much, but every time I do I ask for extra sweet and sour sauce and NEVER get it. They don't even say it costs extra, they just don't give it to me at all.

Last time I was up in that part of the province was 10 years ago. My dad's company was doing a job in Carp. Not a whole lot up there once you get outside Ottawa.

Last time I ate at McDicks was last year, and that was just breakfast. It's been at least three years since I had a burger there. Got a Big Mac that had a horrible bitter taste when I went on a tour of CBC back in college. Of course I hate fried burgers to begin with. A&W seems to do okay but I prefer flame grilled ones like Harvey's and DQ do.

You think THAT'S the fail? Enjoy your MSG at McDs.

He lives in Canada, and Tim Hortons has MSG in their coffee. Probably used to it.

The whopper is awesome and the sausage / egg / cheese breakfast croissant blows anything McDonalds breakfast has but sadly all the ones near me lost the battle with the other places and the nearest one is now a hour away. 🙁

No way...Sausage Egg McMuffin with Cheese kicks ass. In fact, I like to take a bite out of the hash brown and put it in the sandwich, so it fits the McMuffin. Then you have the perfect breakfast sandwich. Crosandwiches are OK, but the sausage at McDonalds is damn tasty. I wish they made 1/4lb Sausage Egg McMuffins. I'd get doubles!

I haven't worked at McDonald's in ages, but that burger was not made well. It has far too few onions, and it should have at least two pickles. McRules state that there should be a pickle in each bite! :colbert:

Ugh... made so many of those damned things that even though it's been about a decade, I can still make them all. :$

EDIT:

Also, that patty looks atrocious... it was either expired or overcooked. Since their clamshells are on timers (depending on the meat type: reg or quarter), I doubt it was the latter.

lol, pathetic

This is after I scraped the cheese off that I specifically told them I didn't want, AGAIN. Every fucking time, I don't know why I go back. It doesn't even matter what location either, they always put cheese on it. That's what happens when your employees hate their life I guess. The thing is, I like cheeseburgers, just not this dog shit they call cheese at McDonalds.

I actually gave this shit up months ago, thought I would go try it again since I'm in another town. I've learned my lesson this time.

Now that's fucked up. Lol. At least ours is better

That's what they do here now and a different potato i believe and new oil recipe and no longer as good as before plus they over salt them to hell now it seems.

They seemed great when they first came out, I get the feeling they could keep them in the oil longer, they become limp now in milli-seconds, before you could get all the way home and still have decent fries. not any more. I even use the "no salt" order method and they still suck now..

I like mcdonalds and haven't had many issues with them. But I will agree, BK blew them out of the water with breakfast.

For which sandwhich?

For a normal hamburger/cheesburger it is 1 pickle.

For a mcdouble it is 2 pickles

For a big mac and any other big sandwiches it is 3-4.

Ugh, I hate BK breakfast. I'd rather eat oatmeal at home. Their crap is sweet. How the hell do you manage to get sweet in a savory breakfast?! I also frequently got bone fragments in the sausage patties. I think they used mechanically separated hogs :^S

If you get bone fragments I would suggest calling someone over that. That is not normal, even for a fast food resturant.

Also I focus my breakfast on their bacon egg and cheese wraps and such. Some of their cheap breakfast sandwhichs does have a sweet sauce to it.

I love the steak egg and cheese bagels McD makes, however those things destroy in the calorie department.
