McDonalds Premium Coffee tastes pretty good !

I tried the new Premium coffee at McDonalds earlier today.

Darn ... for 99 cents ... it really tasted very good. I might have to rethink paying for Starbucks coffee.

mcdonalds coffee uses 100% arabica and is brewed at much higher temperatures.

and yes, it is much much better and trendybucks

I thought there was some blind taste test a while back... McDonalds' coffee was overwhelmingly rated better than Starbuck's coffee.

Starbucks coffee isn't really that good of coffee. At 10 cents a cup, they would still make 100$ profit selling at 20 cents.

Where is the best place to get the same beans ? (we typically grind our own at home ... and make custom pods for the Senseo machine).

Their coffee doesn't cost $0.10 per cup. That's probably what the physical product costs (grounds, water, cup, lid, etc). There's now way their COGS is $0.10 per cup. Not a chance in hell it's that low.

I never really liked Starbucks regular coffee. It taste like im sipping some potent vegi juice. I like Dunkin Donuts, even though they likely lace the beans with some kind of flavour to hide the bitterness.

I think starbucks is okay but think the McD's roast is crap, probably cause I like dark roasts though. We have a great place locally though that roasts their own beans in store, the espresso is a bit weak but there extra dark, extra caffeine blends are great . 🙂

I roast my own beans and brew espresso each morning, I'm full on addicted to coffee. I'll give the McD's coffee next time I'm on a road trip.

problem with mcdonalds is freshness. its probably been sitting there far longer than coffee at starbucks. the pots probably not been cleaned for a while😛 during peak times its ok.

Wow, you guys are serious about this.

The last time I got McDonald's coffee I threw half of it out because it was horrible. Unfortunately I can't remember why it was so bad... and then again, I'm not a big coffee drinker. My Starbucks runs are for spiced chai (though the last few I've had have been far too sweet) and sweet drinks like macchiato.

I wanna go try it now. The only problem is I don't drink coffee and I have no idea how to order it.

What do I say? Uh, coffee, sugar, cream, size, what?

The McDonalds here leaves the same coffee sitting in there for ages...and it tastes like crap! The one across town though, they make it fresh regularly and it tastes very good.

You can't compare just the price. Starbucks would be the first to admit they charge not just for coffee, but for ambience.

"Small coffee, one cream, one sugar, please."

Or if you're more adventuresome..
"Small coffee, black, please."

well the main thing they improved was the cup.
no more lame ass flappy floppy lid.
its just the mcdonalds employees... do they really ever wash that thing out?
starbucks seems to do everything to a decent standard since coffee is their main thing and their empoyees are paid slightly more..trained..and speak english😛
