McDonalds *is* looking out for your nutritional well-being...or are they?

Agreed JellyBaby, next time you're in a McDonald's, have a look at the nutritional poster :Q

I heard that the same lawyers that beat the tobacco industry is going to sue fast food chains soon. I bet they will win too. Everyone knows that fast food damages people's health. And the chains advertise the contrary.

And I bet you support that, don't you?

whats wrong with that? their just saying that eating mcdonalds once a week isn't automatically going to make you a fat sob😛

Quarter pounder with cheese, large fries and a large Coke. That is a great lunch to eat while driving the freeways of L.A..

At least they sell salads now.

So you can get a Chicken McGrill with no sauce, a salad and a Diet Coke and not be eating all THAT unhealthily.

ah yes my favorite. although i keep sauce. mcgrills rock, the meat is REAL!! yes not ground up mystery chicken organs/connective tissue +meat like stuff like in mcnuggets and bk chicken stuff 🙂

once a year or so i get a double quarter pounder. sometimes u just want to eat some meat🙂

oh...that came out wrong🙂

Never ate there. Why should I care either way, btw?
It's interesting and humorous to point out McDonalds freudian slip here. One wonders if they truly believe in the health "merits" of their products...or do they instead believe in the abilities of their public relations groups to spin the notion good nutrition and McDonald's go hand-in-hand.

That's why you might care. I'm sure you've been to a fast food place at least once.

btw, I'm not bashing McDonald's. Just pointing out that slip. 🙂

Stopped eating fast food altogether over a year ago and I am very happy with my decision. Yes it may take more time, but I dont mind knowing I am eating healthier.

I don't understand this whole anti-McDonalds thing. Did they suddenly become the only provider of food in America??

Of course not.

So if you don't like them and/or think that their food is unhealthy (or just disgusting, which is what I think), don't eat there. Simple as that.

anyone who walks into a McDonalds expecting a healthy meal deserves to be fat...

I like McD's... but they are definitely not my health champions.

Perhaps, but that also goes for anyone who goes in to ANY fast food establishment expecting a "healthy" meal. Anotherwards, BK, Hardees, KFC, Taco Bell, et al ... they're all terrible nutrition-wise. They take the healthiest of choices (a fish sandwich, for example) and turn it in to an artery-clogging lardbucket, and overcharge you for the weightless little patty as well. You even pay for the artificial tartar sauce that will eventually clog every little artery in your body. 😀

I've avoided fast food for years. I do (on RARE occasions) visit Subway for a veggie sub, but that's it. For what I'd spend on a single artery-clogging meal at one of these places, I can cook up a LOT more food with a LOT more nutritional value.

Yes, I'll have 1 triple heart attack burger, a sider of cancer, and a large glass of lard. Mmmmmmmmmmmm....McDonalds
