McDonald's is having extreme makeover

They are doing this makeover to the McDonalds in Winchester, KY. They were so radical that they tore the whole darn building down and started over. Talk about makeover!!!

I'm not sure how starting over can actually be profitable over the long run, especially considering the business they lose during the two months they are closed. 😕

im sorry sir, i've fixed your text for you, though.

don't see how, even mcdonalds is better quality than bk. bk does quanity over quality

True that, as of late, BK has sunk to a level of digust in my book greater than that of even the allnasty McD's

Hell they can hire strippers to serve their food and I still wouldn't eat that crap.
Agreed. I avoid all nasty fast food like the plague. Hell, I avoid virtually all processed foods as well. The reason America is so fat and unhealthy can be explained in 4 words: high fructose corn syrup.

How is it that Wendys and Arbys have offered baked potatoes, subway offers lowfat chips,

and McDonalds which is supposedly on some healthy campaign, has not offered ONE reasonable alternative to french fries?

And no, a salad is not considered a good carbohydrate alternative, since lettuce provides about enough energy to lift a thumb.

To all the lunatics crying In-n-Out, AFAIK, they exist in 3 states

Whataburger FTW, they have them in Florida

Not to mention that the best burgers are homemade anyways. Try getting onion that's actually crispy and worchestershire sauce at your average fast food joint.

The company that needs improvement the most is Burger King. Their commercials are great, but the food just doesn't taste good. There's something wrong with their buns, no flavor, and the lettuce and tomatoes they use just don't taste right. The hamburger meat is ok, the chicken and fish are good, but are spoiled by the substandard buns and lettuce. And their fries and onion rings are nasty.

agreed. burger king sucks. I cant stand their buns. And they are expensive too! im suprised they arent out of business yet.

I mean who the heck orders some chicken fries and some regular fries and calls that a meal?

I notice how everyone that thinks whataburger is the best lives in Texas. I used to live in Texas as well and yes they make great burgers but In N Out is still better.

whats the deal with these in and out or whataburger places?
Do they serve other food besides burgers and fries at these places? How are their prices?

I havent heard of them much until this thread, but then again I live in the midwest.
And If these other places are so good, why does McDonalds still tower over them in sales?

In n Out is pretty inexpensive. $1.75 for a cheeseburger which is a pretty good size and loaded up with a bunch of fresh veggies and a sauteed onion. I cant remember how much Whataburger cost, its been years since ive been to one, but its pretty inexpensive as well. I do remember the mustard they put on their burgers, if you like mustard then you should like Whataburgers.

The reason why In N out isnt as large as other restaurants is that they are not franchised. I think their philosophy is to make a great burger with friendly employees at a good price rather than be the #1 hamburger chain, which I am sure they could do if they went public. Their burgers and their priceppoint make them that good.

hmm, i just checked out their website, and it looks like all they really have on their menu is burger variations, fries, and shakes.

eeks! thats not much of a menu! i dont think i know of any restaurant that has done well with that limited of a menu. People gotta have variety.
