I am working late tonight so not much time for a normal dinner, so had McDonalds for the first time in more than a year, maybe two. Man, is my stomach doing all kind of flips. Forget the Olympics, this gas moves faster than any man on earth. Really toxic food.

Hard to believe I loved this junk as a kid. ;)

You noticed? :)

Almost all fast food has no nutritional value whatsoever ... Besides empty calories.

No kidding... I used to like the Mc Fish Sandwich. I had one for the heck of it a few months ago and almost keeled over from sodium poisoning. I can't stand fast food much at all any more, not even pizza (unless it is gourmet).

Eli and Isla

Yea, I don't eat it much at all so you tend to forget how nasty it is.

I LOVE Pizza but the salt is so high I have to drink a lot of water after to get rehydrated.

Gettin' old. ;)

Not only is it not good, The managers are not too bright. They closed a Hardees across the street from four residence halls and closed the McD's locaded IN the student center. How can you not be making money hand over fist? Well i guess the pizza joints will make the money.

i don't know if there is one in your area or not, but....

IN-N-OUT ROCKS!!!!

not sure about the nutritional content, but hands down it's the best tasting fast food. be sure to order your burger "animal style", even tho it's not on the menu. "animal style" means special grilling, including grilled onions. there are other special ways of ordering, such as "protein" burgers and such, where big pieces of lettuce replace the buns.

by the way, out of all the burger joints i know of, IN-N-OUT is the most healthy place. employees slice fresh fries from potatoes each day, using 100% vegetable oil, etc...

i'm getting hungry..

I never understood the theory behind queuing up for fast food.

The best hamburgers ever are from the freindly Aussie neihbourhood fish 'n chip shops or take-a-ways (useally run by Greeks or Leboneses). Where they make the burger just for you & it has a big slice of tomato & a big slice of beetroot, plus heaps of fried onions & freshly shreddered lettuce, oh & a dollop of BBQ or tomato sauce, oh we mustn't forget the big meat paddie & the toasted bread roll. Plus they have cheese, bacon, eggs or pinapple as a option. iF you go for a hamburger with the lot, as well as getting all the standard stuff, they throw in all the options.

Those Greek/Lebo Hamburgers beat that American plastic sh!t by a country mile.

I hope you don't really think that McD is indicative of the best hamburger the US has to offer.

Most common? Yes.

Best? Not by a mile.

Yeh Bober, I know I was making a gross generalisation. But useally when one is talking about American hamburgers they mean McDonalds.

Actually I have had Burgerking a couple of times & they weren't half bad.

I'd assume, up until the retail sector in the US was all franchised out (I know that's another gross gerneralisation too:) - us Aussies like making gross generalisations about the good ole US of A:)), that there were local Greek/Lebanese take-a-ways in the US thet were/are everywhere as good as the Greek/Lebo fish 'n chip shops/take-a-ways here down under.

McDonalds is considered a bad hamburger, even here. :) Wendy's is generally considered (among those I know anyway) to make the best fast food burger.

But the local bar & grill usually makes the best burger.
