In a statement, McDonald's said, "We take this matter very seriously and through our training try very hard to warn employees about such schemes."

McDonald's training manual does include a section which cautions employees that "no legitimate law enforcement agency would ever ask you to conduct such a search."

But none of the employees "Primetime" spoke with at the Mount Washington, Ky., McDonald's say they ever recall seeing the warning.

like that whole incident is really McDonalds fault. OMFG, this sue anybody with money stuff in the US is really ridiculous.
there is NO WAY McDs should be sued for that.

and as for what happened... poor naive stupid 18 year olds. i feel bad for her, but she really was naive.

Any girl put in that situation at that age could react that way. Because of the process of abuse they recess and detach themselves from the situation, and become very susceptable to suggestion. Guys tend to react more aggressively in a situation like that, girl tend to be more passive, but it happens to guys as well. Don't judge the girl just because she was young and listened to her boss to be stripped searched, and then detached herself from the situation.

McDonald's is partially to blame for not training the managers in case of this situation. They had the training material, but they didn't give it to the employees. They should have given the employees the material and made them sign a waiver saying they had read the material, but that would have been too much money for McDonald's. They aren't a big factor, but they are liable, so they should at least cover medical cost (psychiatrist) and back pay (that really isn't too much to ask for). The real people that need to be sued and ruined for this are (drumroll please):

The manager needs to be put in jail for negligence. The two guys who did the crime should be put away for at least 20-30.

What the story didn't report is that 5 minutes after the ordeal ended, Aston Kutcher jumped out of the closet and yelled "YOU'VE BEEN PUNKED!!!!"

ok, i can see where mcd's has some responsibility here, but that makes it sound like you are excusing the manager, her fiance and the guy that called.

direct responsibility. sure it's nice to go after mcd's for the money but the CRIME was perpetrated by the manager and 2 men, not mcd's.

This is an abuse of management. This is not about how naive this girl was. You can say all you want about how you would have acted diffently but you are not her.

McDonald's is ultimately responsible for the actions of their management staff.

ohh the crime was commeted by the manager and the 2 men.

But if nto for the stupidity and power of the manager this would not have happened. no matter how neive the girl was.

Wich is why i agree with teh suit against McDonalds. But i hope the 3 that commeted the crime are put away for a long time.

I am a terrible person. I laughed myself silly reading about her treatment that night.

Seriously, how incredibly stupid do you have to be to fall for all of that? Do naked jumping jacks to see if anything falls out? LMAO!

I am in awe of her incredible naivety (a polite word for 'retard').

Yes, isn't it just HILARIOUS that a naive (or perhaps just not very clever) girl was taken advantage of because she didn't know enough to defend herself. :disgust:

edit: yes, you are a terrible person.
Hey, I prefer my failings than those of a racist homosexual with a chip on his shoulder anyday. :)
The only racist homosexual in the room is you, illyus. ;)
Unfounded terming of individual as racist: -5 points.

Idiotic naming of individual as homosexual: -10 points.

Inability to even spell a username correctly: -50 points.

Use of "I know you are but what am I?" comeback that a four-year-old could have come up with: -1000 points.

Really, you're off to a great start today. Keep it up.

Yep, I agree. Since the manager was put into a position of power by the McDonalds organization and that power was used to some effect to restrain the girl, McDonalds is liable.

I didn't read through all the posts(will do that in a little bit), but I just can't believe how long this went on.

I thought managers, etc. hired were supposed to be the ones who recognized situations like this, or would just know better period than to do something THAT STUPID over the phone. Why....i mean...why could a police officer call and then have you do the strip search for them?

And for purse, why would a strip search even be needed.

In someone, even though that girl is a little naive, the manager or mcd's has to be held responsible. Having a manager that would just up and do something like that to an employee is just insane. Maybe just the manager, or something. Eitherway, that girl got screwed over . I feel sorry for all the other victims over the years too. I too, feel somewhat mcd's is responsible, however the blunt of the fault should go on the 3 that aided in the crime. this whole situation was just....out of control....

There is NO WAY that the manager, her fiance, and the guy should be excused. The two guys need to be locked up, the manager does, too. She can't claim innocence in the matter. She was negligent to the point of actually being just as guilty as the two men in the situation.

It is the same as if you saw a girl being raped on the side of a road you were walking on and you just let it happen while you stopped to watch. Except in this situation, she was an active part of putting that girl "on the side of the street to be raped". She didn't even have another female watch the girl. She deserves everything she gets because she even deludes herself into thinking she did nothing. Even when she was caught red handed in the interview with the security tape, she either claims it didn't happen or she says she doesn't recall. She should just fess up, and plea a deal. That would at least show she is sorry for her actions.

But still McDonalds is partially to blame, because they had the training material to have the employees read, but they didn't have protocol for the employees to read it and sign a waiver because that would be too expensive.

either she was really loose or that was a small purse!

i just can't understand the managers or her fience's reasoning on this. if a purse went missing how would she shove it up her vigana or anus? every purse i have seen are the size of a duffel bag!

well i understand teh fiance's. here he can tell a 18 yr old girl to do anything he says and she has to do it. but jumping jax? hahah damn. gotta give him points for that.

I hope she gets every penny she wants, this is stupid bullshit (altho i do agree she should've said no and walked out)

That is just wrong, dude. Not even funny. :|

Thats where your wrong. Its always funny until it happens to someone you know.

People who get there jollies off of seeing people degrade themselves tend to be the people who if they could get away with it, rape and molest people for the same reason.

So, I would still say very, very wrong dude.

Absolutely she has a good case to sue McDonalds. Like it or not the kiddies they put in charge of their restaurants are managerial employees.

You would think so but then again. . .if this manager had half a brain in her head she wouldn't be a grown adult woman working in McDonald's. We're obviously not talking about the cream of society here.

J---- F---ing C----!! This is the most f---ed up story I've read in a while. I guess finger ITB would be considered a "sexual act"....

I don't know what's more disturbing, the kiniving f-up that decided to do this in spree, or the unquestioning folks that thought they had to do all this sh--. WOW! messed up
