It's likely that the person working the grill was talking to him while he was trying to take your order, and then you had to be a little bitch to him.

That's okay, he probably memorized the number on your license plate and will track you down to slit your neck open in your sleep.
 
Working on the headset isn't that fun at all especially at 2am. Translating the crap that comes from the customer's mouth from your ear to the computer takes time and when people don't pause it can be overwhelming. Granted "shut up" isn't good customer service, sometimes it is warranted.

Everyone should work either in fast food or for the military at least once in the life.
