Adderall caused certain compulsive behavior. It felt like I had to do certain things even if I didn't want to. I had to clean things and sort things. I felt very uncomfortable in my environment.
You were "tweaking," a common indicator that your dosage was too high.
Other indicators of an excessive dosage of adderall/dexedrine/meth is euphoria, insomnia, appetite suppression, forced motivation, hyperfocus, etc.
If someone with true ADD takes a
conservative dosage of ADD meds, they will only be more alert and focused. If someone without that ADD takes that same dosage, they will tweak.
People with ADD have lower levels of prefrontal cortex dopamine, the goal of those meds is to get them up to "normal transmitting" levels, the rest (motivation, etc) is up to them. A lot of people with ADD are prescribed an abusive dosage of amphetamine, since they are chasing that honeymoon high for cramming or partying purposes.
isn't Adderall fucking AWESOME?
To use therapeutically or abuse recreationally? While I agree that it's a safe drug used conservatively, I wouldn't recommend glorifying speed
abuse to the young kids reading this. Amphetamines are
seriously powerful, one of the most psychologically addictive drugs, and abusing it
permanently destroys your dopamine receptors through autoxidation, way too neurotoxic of a drug to abuse.
