So they sell the same stuff, but you pay more to avoid the low class denizens?Starbucks:Target as to McD:Walmart

Except in this case, McDeez has a drivethru.
I never thought about it, but that is Target's competitive advantage lol. I will readily go to Target if they are open before I go to WalMart (which god willing I'm only in once or twice a year). But to be honest it's not just the swarms of trashy people, I can deal with that. I don't go to Wal-Mart because I HATE to stand in line for 30+ minutes just to check out.
I'll stick to tea.
McDonald's coffee is cheap... but it's crappy. Sometimes that's what I want - caffeine injection. But sometimes I actually would like something palatable to sip on.
Yeah, McDonald's does have very good coffee since the switch. To be honest though, who actually goes to Starbucks to buy regular coffee? I only go in Nov/Dec to get their peppermint mocha so I'm hardly an expert but I never see anyone just getting regular coffee. It wouldn't surprise me.
Not that I buy Starbucks. I hear their light roast coffee is decent, but I hate their regular coffee and it's too expensive, anyway. I have been drinking less of my preferred coffee-on-the-go, Dunkin' Donuts, though, in favor of $1 medium coffees from McDonald's. I've liked their coffee ever since they went with "premium" beans. It's still not as good as Dunkin', in my opinion, but close enough and a bargain at $1 here in New York.
And I'm guaranteed a fresh cup since the McDonald's I go to are always pretty busy.

Now that I think about it, I don't really have that many friends my age (I'm 25) who really like coffee.
I don't really like SB's or McD's for coffee. But SB's does sell good tea.
Come on guys, you know you all like Starbucks so you can sit there and pretend to read some type of classic lit while sitting in a position that forces others to notice that you are indeed reading some type of classic lit. Preferrably an old beat up paperback, but not so beat up as to make others strain to read the title of the book you're holding.
Is Peet's any good? It's wildly popular in some areas around here...
