Most Rednecks are proud to be Rednecks. I'm a big NASCAR fan so I'm somewhat of a Redneck myself and it doesn't bother me a bit.

Are rednecks a race? You need to lighten up just a tad. These days calling someone a redneck is about as offensive as calling them a Yankee.

As Jeff Foxworthy amply points out, being a redneck is essentially a state of mind and a life style.

You do realize "Levi" is a self-professed "fuckin redneck" right?

Levi, rofl. It's Alaska for fck's sake, nobody will give a dam, especially since it's related to Palin. Her 15 seconds have already expired.

It is possible to believe in liberty and not be an extremist. In fact, from my viewpoint, extremists are almost always authoritarians trying to inflict their own personal worldviews on everyone else, supposedly for our own good.

Heinlein said it best IMO: "Political tags ? such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth ? are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort."

I'm the latter. So are most people really. They're just usually not as vocal about it as I am, while the former tend to be very vocal no matter what political tag or side they claim for themselves.

edit: BTW, lighten up, this thread is obviously a joke.

Insinuation? I'm merely quoting a McCain insider. It's coming from the horse's mouth:

?It would be fantastic,? said a McCain insider. ?You would have every TV camera there. The entire country would be watching. It would shut down the race for a week.?

Yeah, because its perfectly acceptable to refer to poor black people by a derogatory word.
If it's the redneck comments that disturb you, you need to do a little research on young Levi Johnston, self-proclaimed f**kin' redneck

Plenty of people that are "self-proclaimed" ni**ers. I doubt very many people here would think it ok to say they are having a ni**ger wedding.

Some of us trace our redneck hillbilly lineage back a long way and your level of NASCAR redneckedness may only be determined if you can identify these 5 drivers from my home track.

Free  for you if you can :D
Darryl Waltrip, Awesome Bill Elliot, Junior Johnson, Dale Earnhardt and I can't make out the last car.

No No No, we need the Levi Johnston Bristol Palin Wedding ASAP. The wedding gifts it will inspire will supercharge both the US and Chinese economies. As millions of duplicate toasters, clocks, blenders, and other such paraphernalia will fly off of store shelves. And Levi and Bristol will have to spend many lifetimes trying to get refunds on them all.

Ding! Ding! Doh! Ding!

The #27 is Rusty Wallace. The last car is the #8 Miller High Life Buick driven by Bobby Hillin, Jr. It's a trick question because Bobby Allison drove the #12 Miller High Life in this race (Spring of 1988) - his last at North Wilkesboro - and that's what most folks guess. 2 months later Allison nearly died in a crash at Pocono - his last race.

 's on me :)

Probably due to the fact that daniel49 is unable to form complete sentences.
