Waiting for the talk radio la-la land peoples to come in and say some stupid shit like "Eyes wide open, middle america taking freedumb back."

Who would have guessed? The whole Teaparty National Front was a overhyped foxnews/talk radio manufactured republican fail all along.

Wow, sounds one-for-one like something dittohead Spidey would say.

I'm not surprised by this. McCain's tea party opponent was particularly idiotic, much like Angle in Nevada.

What interests me is the question of how many of these tea party primary challengers who are losing will run as independents, Constitution party, Libertarian party, etc., and how that will play in terms of splitting the conservative vote in the general election. My guess is it saves the dems a seat or two, but not much more than that.

Looks like a Palin endorsement is pretty much a guaranteed win. 11 of her endorsements have won versus only one of Obama's.
If you call swooping in at the last minute to endorse a for-sure candidate, especially one that Mit Romney endorse way before she did, then yes.

:D

Something I didn't realize about endorsements until recently, they're bought. I have a friend who was high up in the campaign for Karen Handel for governor of Georgia (who lost to Nathan Deal in the primary). And from what I'm told the entire campaign staff was supposed to get large bonuses win or lose. But then all that money had to get spent on buying an endorsement from Sarah Palin and they got no bonuses. Now this friend is extremely conservative and from what I know liked Sarah Paling before this incident, so I don't believe it was a lie.

I guess I just always assumed that endorsements to candidates were given because their politics were in line with the endorser. Apparantly they're just purchased.

I have very mixed feelings on this one. On one hand McCain is more image than substance, but in the few areas when he has substance, he has the right substance.
But that same infrequent real substance in McCain, drives the radical republican right crazy. In short, McCain is an 18 carrot phony.

But he beat a 23.5 carrot phony to win the GOP nod in Arizona. And in Arizona winning the GOP nomination is almost the same as winning the general election.

But somehow I would have been happier if the GOP ran a mere 12 carrot phony against McCain and we would have gotten rid of a by in large phony in McCain.

Oh well, last February, the Gila monster emerged from his borrow, saw his shadow, and now we will have six more years of McCain. GOP senator emeritus, the next Harold Stassen, and political dead man walking.

What's to say? McCain beat a talk-show nutcase who was caught lying about an infomercial where he advocated the best way to get govt cheese. Hypocrisy FTL. I would have preferred McCain lose frankly, but J.D. was hardly an attractive alternative.

This, it wasn't much of a win.

Hayworth was (and still is) a Butt Head.

The sad thing about all this is the co-opted Libertarians have no one to blame but themselves for letting the TP/GOPee run out-of-control all over their arse, and pound them further into oblivion.

Conservatism in the USA is now little more than Fascists, Fruit Loops and Fundies.

Ole hey hay notes, "Hayworth was (and still is) a Butt Head."

Well, when Bevis runs against Butt Head, only one can emerge the winner. But given those two choices, we the American people are certain losers.

Why trade brain cancer for stomach cancer?

It takes more than a year to build a country. We will take back our country sooner or later. For freedom, for liberty, for the United States.

QFT, HACP should go back to stealing his roommate's private property and trying to cover up the crime instead of offering his useless political opinions.

I was told that the lesser of two evils is still an evil and you should vote Libertarian. Hehehe

I guess McCain was the best piece of scum Arizona Republicans could elect. Doubtless the Democrats have a piece of scum to match him.

Has anyone noticed, given the slow pace of the American justice system, that one can be born, live a full life as a political thief crook, and rascal, and its like decades before they haul them off to jail.

Maybe Duke Cunningham and Rep Shay are the lone exception.

The State of Texas is still working on getting Tom Delay into court for money laundering, that ole toe tapping Larry Craig never resigned, Vitters never resigned,
Murtha beat the rap and finally had to be carried off in a pine box when he died of natural causes, McCain beat the rap over intervening on behalf of Charlie Keating,
the freezer Jefferson won another full two year term in congress, slightly outlasting the Nixon delaying tactics during watergate before justice finally caught up with them, and now we expect the same defective justice system to catch up with Rangel quickly.

Maybe its time to reform the defective justice system so we can get rid of rascals quick. But wait, its the very attorneys who design justice systems that make their money by endlessly delaying and frustrating justice. Yep, we have the best justice system money can buy.

Money is free speech.

I am so tired of the tired "were going to take America back" mantra from the uninformed..

What you are essentially saying is that you only believe in elections that you win... if that is the case then you are not a republican or a democrat or a libertarian or a progressive... you are a zealot and would probably be the first in line to promote a totalitarian state....

Why can't we just say J.D. Hayworth was an idiot? From the bits I heard from one of the "debates" between the two, all Hayworth wanted to do was to throw enough pointless jabs to hopefully find a soundbyte or two that would stick with the media.

Good for McCain winning the primary.

It's not as bad as the people who implicitly or explicitly suggest that only people like themselves are "Americans".
