“Susan Rice should have known better and if she didn’t know better, she is not qualified. She should have known better. I will do everything in my power to block her from being the United States Secretary of State. She has proven that she either doesn’t understand or she is not willing to accept evidence on its face. There is no doubt five days later what this attack was and for — look, I was on "Face the Nation" that Sunday. Right after her came the President of the Libyan National Assembly who said this was al-Qaeda. Everybody knew that. So she went out and told the American people something that was patently false and defied common sense.”

— Sen. John McCain, on “Fox and Friends,” Nov. 14, 2012

“I can only conclude we're doing this for no other reason than because of lingering bitterness at the outcome of the elections.” McCain complained when Condi Rice’s nomination came to a vote.

I can only conclude that McCain and company are doing this because of their bitterness at the outcome of the 2012 elections.

What else do you expect him to say when he goes on FOX and Friends.

He did it on NBC also this morning. It's a republican thing. I think when being interviewed he was even asked if it was just sour grapes over losing and he is like no no no no it's different! EVERYONE thought Iraq had WMD! Here EVERYONE knows they should have known about this terrorist attack well ahead of time!

McCain has always been "out there". What Republicans call maverick mental health professionals probably have a diagnosis for.

McCain has become a sad figure.

I really don't understand why the GOP are still grasping on this Bengazi deal. It's like a raccoon not letting go of that shiny bauble even after its arm is trapped.

Americans die every day across the world for geo-political reasons. What is the scenario the GOP is hoping for? Are they wanting Obama to be able to predict the future and to prevent the deaths of our ambassador and fellow Americans?

They wanted him to invade Iran, much like we invaded Iraq after being attacked by a bunch of Saudis.

McCain needs to retire. After the 2000 election it seemed like he changed and now he is a typical republican hypocrite. I did have respect for him, not any more.

When is the last time a 'major' us political figured was killed?

He's an ambassador, yes. Death is part of the hazard in the job description, just as with soldiers'. Obviously the GOP is using this as ammunition to push their opposition, and again, all these belly-aching are after the fact, where hindsight is always 20/20.

9/11, an attack on American soil that we were well aware of ahead of time but that fact somehow got buried for years after the fact. Republicans are idiots, McCain is a glowing example.

Rice is not an employee of the govt. Stick to the current liar that is working for the Government.

Crying about the past will not solve our current problems.

Congress voted for the Iraq War.

Congress did not vote any funding for the war on Libya or the war on Syria, or the war in Egypt. That is all King O'Bamma's doing.

This is just typical McCain. He's not a hardcore conservative so he has to take whatever opportunities present themselves to criticize the democrats and prove he really is a conservative.

Maybe somebody could have done a better job preparing for an attack on the anniversary of 9/11. Its worth investigating that.

We know things could have been done better to prevent the 9/11/2001 attack on the World Trade Center. With hindsight its usually possible to find out human beings are fallible.

Both are tragedies. What is different is, the Democrats didn't try to make political hay out of the mistakes around 9/11. It is disgusting that Romeny, Fox News, McCain, et al, keep trying to get political gain out of this.

And trying to make a big deal about was it the film, was it terrosits, who said what when, its all just a bunch of political nonsense.

Or in the Jessica Lynch story? Both utter and complete fabrications from the start.

Sara Palin, dear Senator McCain. Never show your face in public again. People need to be held responsible for their actions, you titanic jackass.

“If Sen. McCain and Sen. [Lindsey] Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me,” Obama said during his first news conference since Election Day. “And I’m happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador, who had nothing to do with Benghazi and was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received, and to besmirch her reputation is outrageous"It was the standout moment in an otherwise sedate meeting with the White House press corps. The usually calm, disciplined president gave way to the Obama who gets peeved at what he views as silly political games. And in doing so, Obama served up a blunt reminder that — despite his own words to the contrary — little about Washington has changed since he won a second term.

In explaining why Obama reacted so viscerally, White House aides pointed out that McCain and Graham received the same talking points from intelligence officials that Rice used when she claimed the Benghazi attack was caused by an anti-Islamic video. They also said Republican senators defended Condoleezza Rice, President George W. Bush’s national security adviser, when she repeated faulty intelligence in the lead-up to the Iraq War.
Obama, knew exactly what happened in Benghazi. He had his administration give briefings to the Senate and the House and his own U.N. ambassador that were false. He knew they were false and sent Rice out to lie to the American public on all the Sunday shows.

Where do you guys lay the blame about the lies the Bush administration told about the WMDs in Iraq? On Condoleezza? or on Bush? It's the same thing here. Obama lied.

How did you get this from that? LOL.

Even the crazy FOX News are not calling Obama a liar because there is no concrete evidence of anything. I'm sure we'll hear about it from them way before hearing it from the like of you if Obama was caught lying about Bengazi.

On a side note, Condoleeza Rice was the biggest failure as both National Security Advisor and as Secretary of State in at least 50 years for either party.

How the f*ck is her opinion about anything still listened to by anyone? And how the f*ck can she even be mentioned for political office?

I just have no idea:whiste:

For fun's sake...let's say you're right and they are the same. What happened to C. Rice & Bush? Nothing. So what should happen here?
