He tried everything he could to put himself into the limelight with then-new President Bush. McCain was a thorn in the Presidents side from the beginning, and continues to be one today.

If you value your integrity, you might want to re-think that apology. McCain first said Kerry is NOT weak on defense. The "not necessarily" comment came later. See smashp's message three messages up. I just saw the interview, came here to set the record straight, but smashp beat me to it.
