Kerry and the Dems have been silly talking about McCain as a VP candidate. All the talk has just made Kerry look foolish.

McCain introduced Bush on a campaign stop today and praised Bush.

By the way, McCain is the co-chairman of Bush's re-election campaign in Arizona.

my bet for Kerry's veep choice is the man with no eyebrows.....

McCain campaigns for Bush

Wow, so this is breaking news? Everyone has known for quite awhile, as McCain has stated that he is for the re-election for Bush. But at least he has the balls to question his own party and not blindly follow. Thanks for the oh so worty news that we allready knew.

It must reall gall McCain to have to pretend to support Bush when he knows in his heart that he is so much more qualified to lead the country than the Dub!

Interesting,
McCain was criticizing Bush hardcore on the tonight show (it was pretty funny too). I'd take McCain over Kerry or Bush. Id probably take Powell over either of those two

I get the feeling most people would vote for McCain over Bush or Kerry. I know I would. And most people I talk to would.

Why would someone who supports Bush run with someone who he fundamentally disagrees with?

Well, I guess McCain won't get that all important Veep candidate position after all - no?;) Seriously though, there was never a doubt and I found it funny that the Democrats were even trying to float this idea. Even funnier is how the story has been kept alive:p Guess that's all come to a screeching halt finally:)

Obviously, he wouldn't. It would have been insane IMO for Kerry to pick a conservative Republican like McCain as his running mate, and it would have been political suicide for McCain if the ticket lost. I don't believe, notwithstanding today's campaign stop in WA, that Sen McCain's support for President Bush is very deep or heartfelt - he has been pretty openly critical of him on a number of occasions - but as a senior Republican member of the Senate he will support the President if he knows which side his bread is buttered on.

I use to support him but from that those quotes it appears he flat out lied to be a good party member. So much for integrity :p It actually isn't a bad idea although it would never happen. Bi-partisanship weakens both ideologies through compromises, but in reality it's the only way to get stuff done.

I find the support for McCain simply amazing. He has been totally worthless, in my opinion, from day one. It's perfectly in keeping with who he is to be supporting the president. His vaunted independence is an act. He is deep into the machine.

According to your standards, Moonbeam, can you name one elected Senator or Congressman that meets your approval (or anything, not even for president)? Just name one...

McCain has been saying for how long he won't be Kerry's running mate?

I'm pretty positive that Edwards is going to be Kerry's running mate, which should provide for a very solid ticket. Edwards is well liked in the South, and he can bring some charisma and charm to the Kerry campaign.

As far as I can tell the only one talking this McCain crap is the Republicans as of late, not the Dems. This is old news that only gets older.

Hey... Old news you troll everyone knows already that McCain never wanted the VP and Kerry knew that as well.

My bet for the next 4 yrs if Bush gets reelected is that we have a dumba$$ in the White House.

Why is this even news? Sure, McCain is very qualified for public office beyond Senator and, I must say, more qualified than Kerry and Bush put together, but he has already said no several times. In every interview he has given over the past few months where the question was brought up, he said no.

I find it odd this excites the cons so much, despite that their chimp in the White House can't open his mouth once without sounding like a retard. I'm not even a Dean supporter and I think the whole yell thing has been blown so far out of porportion it's not even funny. What's funny is the selective hearing the Bushies have.

The original object of Kerry's affection -- the person he personally courted for the second spot on the Democratic ticket -- was Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain.

puleaze!

Yeah, umbrella39 and TechJunkie95242 don't seem to want to admit the fact that it is the news and democrats who have kept this McCain thing alive and keep reporting it as "news".:p
