McAfee Antispamware no longer updates.

It installs through a web page.

I have disabled pop up stoppers as they have directed.

But now the McAfee Antispamware Installation Wizard window does not automatically start, the window pops up for a nanosecond but then disappears.

WTF. It used to work fine (on all three machines)!

What has changed since? I installed SpywareBlaster 3.2 and have enabled all protection. I thought it might be that so I uninstalled it on one machine to see if the McAfee Antispamware Installation Wizard would work but same results.

I have already 2 alternatives! Spybot Search And Destroy, Ad-Aware SE Professional.

That is not the issue here, I want to diagnose and fix this problem.

Check out SP2 firewall if you have SP2 - if not - no idea. . .

I used McAfee SpamKiller UNTIL I had a virus showup on something it decided was spam. It went into Quarantine and when I tried to clean it out, it did very much like what you described PMM. I had a devil of a time uninstalling the McAfee product as well. It took out shared files and left a lot of its own crap still installed. As a result I won't touch or recommend McAfee products again. Have you had any virus emails that got deleted or stuffed into Quarantine ? If so; that maybe your problem.
