if this thing is so popular why don't they just have it all the time instead of for like 1 month a year?

McRib is only around when meat fails to pass inspection for E. coli 0157:H7. The bad meat is irradiated and made into McRib.

Just kidding.

It's actually

McFake processed waste cuts of meat, stamped and squashed into a mold to make a rib-like shape.

You don't wanna know what's in there. Processed beef hearts and brains with a side of bull balls would be the LEAST of your worries. They use the WhOLE cow. Intestines, stomach and all.

But damn, that BBQ sauce just makes it all so YUMMY, doesn't it? *heaving*

Only so many squirrels die every year.

you must be watching FOX tonight 🙂

yep

i've never actually had it but they had something very similar in high school lunch

I've never had a mc rib, but I wonder why a lot of restaurants do that. Today I was at Quiznos and had a Chicken Carbonara, which is one of those limited time only things. Best sandwich they have at Quiznos I think, a lot of people order it, yet they only do it for a limited time. Like the mc rib at mcdonalds, why not just have it all the time?

those are probably items that they use incase they need some type of boost in their budget. If they had no promotional or limited items, then they woudn't have anything to use to bring their budget up in the time of need. If they had the mcrib all the time, then people would get used to it and it wouldn't be ordered as frequently.

LOL! Sort of like Chicken McNuggets, but with beef: Boil the carcass to remove all excess flesh, and discard the skeleton. Run water through a filter to form a slurry, then add chemical binders to make the resultant sludge formable into McRib patties.

Ironically, that's very, very close. But you knew that already....great minds are always on the same plane. 🙂
