MBP Issue

So I have a new C2d 2.4ghz 256mb mbp. It has worked PERFECTLY on everything so far, especially gaming.

You may remember from a previous thread my Time Capsule HD failed recently so I got sent a new TC. I ended up formatting OS X for the hell of it and installed WoW, my normal programs, and a new program I got, ET:QW.

ET:QW has been slightly laggy and I was wondering why but figured it was probably a bad Aspyr port. I think it may be something else now. When I play WoW now I will sometimes get 15 fps for like 4 minutes, and a lot of FPS jumping from 15-60 (with vsync on).

You may think this is normal but keep in mind I have had 60fps nonstop with all settings on high and no jumping with my MBP forever up until these last few days. My fans are reporting spinning at 3000rpm but I can barely hear them and Im getting temps of 75-degrees on the CPU A and 79 on my GPU when in WoW.

Does anyone have a clue of what could be going on? Is this software or hardware or something? I dont want to have to take my MBP in if its software but I dont know what to do!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Put in your System Restore Disk 1 that shipped with your MBP. Restart and hold down the D key, when you get that grey startup screen. That will boot into the AHT (Apple Hardware Test). Let it do the full gamut of tests one night (I think it takes a couple hours). And see if anything crops up.

What about services running on your system? If you go into Activity Monitor, are you seeing anything spiking your CPU every couple minutes?
