MBM5 question

My board has a thermistor inside of the CPU socket, and a couple others elsewhere - not sure where. The temp readings I get are as follows -

CPU - 102 on average
Sensor 1 - 72
Sensor 2 - 78

Obviously the last two are from the case somewhere, but my question is this - how accurate is the CPU reading? If it is fairly accurate for what it is measuring, how much hotter is my CPU core? I've got a T-bird 1 GHz, stock voltage, with a FOP-38.

Gigabyte GA7ZX, soon to be replaced by an 8KTA3 if the FedEx guy will show up today . . .
