I am running an AMD 2500+ Barton on an ASUS A7V8X-X.

Motherboard Monitor is giving me the following readouts:

CPU Sensor 1:
--- 45 degrees C
Voltage:
--- Core 0: 1.71 V
--- +3.3: 3.32 V
--- +5.00: 5.04 V
--- +12.00: 11.71 V
--- -12.00: 0.00 V
--- -5.00: 0.00 V
Fan 1:
--- 3125 RPM
CPU:
--- 1833 MHz.

Do these seem to be okay? Here's the reason I ask: Whenever I start up my system, I get a message saying "Hardware Monitor found an error." I can then press Del and enter BIOS, then exit BIOS and continue to Windows.

This is getting very annoying and I'm having a lot of trouble fixing it.

Any suggestions at all? Thanks in advance.

It doesn't elaborate, saying what KIND of hardware error it is?

Get AIDA32; install and run it, then go to the Storage -> SMART section, and check for anything there that fails. If the box just stays gray, check your BIOS menus (probably the Advanced BIOS Options menu) for anything about S.M.A.R.T. and enable it, then try AIDA32 again.

well, after i posted this, i installed AsusProbe. the readings it gave me were fine.

so, i used asus' flash utility to update my bios to the latest version (it used to give me problems).

everything is running great now.

thanks for the tip. it was in fact a bios problem. (duh, i'm an idiot...)
