I just checked their website. Its $25 cover. But i know the right people there i could get in free if i wanted to go. Im not into boxing ever since MMA came out. Its an old antiquated sport now. Very boring lol

But $25 and $2 any beer is better than $100 at home.

You sound very well connected. Are you in the import-export business? I've been trying to break into Overland Park high society for YEARS. Could you get me in too?

Honestly, I think boxing is boring and would rather watch MMA. I'm only buying the PPV because it's suppose to be the biggest boxing match of the decade, at least money wise.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao: Bob Arum Hints Contract Dispute Puts Fight in Jeopardy
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...hints-contract-dispute-puts-fight-in-jeopardy

In an exclusive report by Yahoo's Kevin Iole on Wednesday, Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum, explains that there's no contract between MGM resorts and the promoters.

I'm fairly boxing ignorant so I don't know how big a deal this is.

Stupid. Arum is mad that they probably didn't get to rent out an entire floor for Pacquiao's entourage.

This is one of the biggest fights ever and you think the MGM is going to give away rooms for their non-high roller clients?

MGM wouldn't even give away tickets for celebrities. Reports were that celebrities requesting front row tickets were being denied. And, some savvy companies were contacting management of celebs stating they would buy the ticket, if the celeb agreed to wear a shirt with their logo or something.

And, the promoting is being done by Mayweather's promoting company. There is no way they won't have this fight happen. It would be the ultimate dodge by Mayweather and 50 Cent would post another Instgram calling him out.

MMA watch-ability has fallen off a cliff lately besides Ronda Rousey.

The issue with MMA right now is none of the young talent is being hyped except a very select few. So, there are just a bunch of no namers unless you follow the sport intensely jocking for position to fight like 5 people. You literally have to make a spectacle to get noticed. And even that is risky.

I wouldn't. I haven't seen a mayweather fight that didn't go the distance in...I don't even remember the last time. He's a boring point-winning fighter and so is pacquiao at this point.

IMHO, that is why anyone spending money on this fight is just throwing it away.

Distance is fine with me. I enjoyed Mayweather dismantling Canelo Alverez like he was a rookie sparring partner.

Thats fine, I just prefer fighters that destroy and finish opponents. Lameweathers last knockout was a guy standing in the center with his hands down, trying to hug him, even then it took 2 shots.

The issue is not the available fighters but how the industry is run and far more than just marketing and shit.

You'd be surprised how rich this county is overall, it might have a high society lol. But ive just been going there long enough they all know me etc.

Yep. I think Money takes this one easily unfortunately. Wish they had done this fight a few years ago. :\

KT

Agreed.

Mayweather getting 800 Million for one fight is a bit mind blowing.

They posted 120 I guess, but have heard larger.

Could be wrong, still way out there.

Might be good, I'm still not going to pay to watch it I guess.

sooooooooo shady

Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, told The Times on Wednesday afternoon that he’s waiting to sign a contract finalizing the deal, and once that’s complete, 500 tickets will be put on public sale.

The capacity of MGM Grand is 16,800 seats, with the face value of tickets ranging from $1,500 to $10,000.

The remainder of the tickets will be split up as agreed upon in the original negotiations that led to a signed fight contract by Mayweather and Pacquiao in February.

Under that deal, according to officials not authorized to discuss the arrangement publicly, MGM Grand was to receive 40% of the tickets, with Mayweather Promotions and Arum’s Top Rank Inc. equally splitting the remainder.

Many of those tickets will be placed on the secondary market, sold at prices that could reach $100,000, although the time crunch caused by the ticket delay could lessen the value.

I'm ordering the PPV and I don't think this fight will go the distance. PacMan will not allow it IMO. Mayweather is by far the superior boxer and the PacMan camp knows this. By boxer I mean... jab jab jab w/e. Going to be a hell of a fight with stingers thrown left and right. Expect these fighters to be in the best shape of their lives.

That plays into Mayweather's game though. He's a counter fighter. Think Marquez but better.

Charged??? I wouldn't buy a fucking cup of coffee to watch that fight. Anyone who pays a dime to watch it is a complete idiot.

Although it could be worse - you might even be stupid enough to pay to watch an MMA "fight".

Some real objective shit here.

Completely subjective. Why would anyone pay to watch a 38 year old fight a 36 year old? That's like paying to watch a 71 year old Mick Jagger perform. Sure, there are people stupid enough to do so, but why would you want to be one of them?
