I'd have to place my money on Mayweather, but I'd love to see Pacquiao knock him down a peg or two.

In this fight, Pac gives up everything to Floyd, including size and Floyd is not a wimpy fighter. I think the biggest problem for Pac would be Floyds size..

You forgot what Pacquiao did to Margarito - 5'11 height- 74" reach.

Mayweather Jr. - 5'9" - 72" reach.

Despite having a 17 pound weight advantage, a 4.5 inch height advantage, and a six inch reach advantage, Margarito was dominated by Pacquiao and took a heavy beating.

Margarito isn't Mayweather, Floyd would beat him 100/100 times easily. All Pac might have over Floyd is speed, but Floyd is close to as fast, if not equally. And he's superior at everything else. Manny beats people like Margarito & Cotto due to his speed, which would be nullified by Mayweathers speed + insane footwork & head movement. Shit Floyd made Mosley look like an amateur, and he IMHO top 20 of all time. If Antonio was faster he would have made easy work of Manny, same with Cotto.

Size alone doesn't win fights though.

Deny it all you want QB, does not make it true. Mayweather is ducking him plain and simple; his ego is getting in the way because he does not want the loss.

I say Pacquaio by TKO, but damn, I sure would love that see that fight. Shame it looks like it will never happen.

Mayweather's a better fighter, stats prove this. He's unbeaten and has faced better competition. It's your opinion that Pacman is any more of a threat to him than Mosley was. Why would a better fight be afraid of another fighter who's not as good? Speculate all you want, but I base what I say on facts. And the fact is, on paper Mayweather is better at everything except KO'ing people. But that's not his fighting style. He's ducking Manny, but he fought Mosley. And guess what? Mosley > Pacman. If Mayweather was scared of loosing he would have fought a Clotty or Margrito. Manny had the opportunity to fight the the #2 dude last year, and for whatever reason he picked Clotty over Mosley. A guy who isn't even top 10.

In a few months Mosley's going to KTFO Manny. Then Floyd can say "ok I'll fight you" and instead of having to give 50% of the purse to Manny like he'd have to today. He can say "but you'll only get 35% now" It's all about money to Floyd, nothing else. And he is undefeated, something Pacman cannot claim.

pacquiao MIGHT win. he's getting to be past his prime and mayweather is waiting for that to happen before he fights him.

Umm but Floyd's older than Pacman, so if he waits for him to be past his prime, he'll be even more so.

Kinda like how Fedor was revealed as such a shitty fighter after losing to Tsuyoshi Kohsaka?

good use of sarcasm, Fedor even with a loss is still considered the best fighter out there. If you're comparing Manny to Fedor that's laughable. Manny's a great fighter, but nowhere near the boxing equal of Fedor. If you're comparing Floyd to Fedor, I can see the similarities. Both dominated their sport like no other ever has. And neither should have to fight again to prove anything because their legacies are already cemented. I mean yeah it would be nice to see Fedor fight Velasquez, just like it would be nice to see Mayweather fight Pacquaio, but neither have shit to prove.

Floyd. Floyd has even fought better talent throughout his career as well. Floyd's skill set is unmatched. Pac is a great fighter as well. Both are among the best of all time, but Pac just doesn't have the skill to beat Floyd, no one does. Only father time will beat Floyd, that or a jail cell.

Floyd from the days when he fought Corrales and Castillo, would wipe the floor with Pac. He's too careful now and, and probably psychologically terrified of losing a match, so that would affect his performance. Currently though, I'd say it's a toss up though, with Manny having a slight edge because of how badly he beats his opponents.

I think Paccy is an all time great but I'm not as impressed as everyone is with his fights int he past few years. He's an amazing fighter who's been fighting guys who've either been withered up, dehydrated, past their prime, or fighting without loaded gloves for the first time.

Clottey was the only recent opponent who didn't have one of those disadvantages, but Clottey's style is so defensive that he was guaranteed to lose to an aggressive, active, fast, and skilled fighter as Pacquiao. Despite that, Clottey inflicted a lot more damage to Pac's face than the other way around.

Clottey is bigger than Mosley, but Mosley is faster, more active, and probably hits almost as hard, so he has that going for him. Mosley's performance against Margarito was also more impressive than Manny's, but that doesn't prove anything. Manny is super fast, and super active, so I think he has the advantage. Plus Manny's coaching is 1000x better than Mosley's.

Manny is the favorite, but I'd put the odds closer to 2:1, rather than the 6:1 that Vegas bookies had it at last time I checked.

Manny because Floyd is afraid of Manny and already lost the mind game. It's why he keeps avoiding him and the fight.
