Mayweather vs Ortiz

Nothing but smoke from Floyd's handlers for why he's running scared. Floyd will never be considered great if he finishes his career by avoiding Pacman.
He doesn't belong on an all-time greats list if he has to sucker punch a guy right after a hug to get a KO. It was legal because Cortez should be sent out to pasture; Ortiz deserves some blame for not defending himself and excessive hugging.

Pac agreed, Aruma and team approached Mayweather's camp and nothing came of it. Ball is and always been with Mayweather.

I don't know where you got that from. Manny never agreed and when the the Mayweather camp criticized him of being juiced, he filed a lawsuit that is still pending. He refused to do it and there was some specualtion that the last test he would take would have to be 30 days from the fight. But after he filed the lawsuit not much else was said afterwards.

Arum said the request has been an unsettled issue since the first day of negotiations last month.

“We’re not going to agree to have Manny give blood in training, because that’s stupid,” Arum said. “Every doctor in the world will tell you that is stupid. He’ll give his blood at the beginning of the year and he’s willing to be urine-tested 24/7, but blood doesn’t show [expletive] and he’s not going to do it.”

did you see the argument with larry merchant. on the comments to one of the linked videos people were saying things like, "even 50 years ago floyd would have kicked larry's ass" and one guy responded by saying "yeah well 50 years ago larry would have owned floyd", lol.

Your link is from 2009 - here's one from July 2011.

The circus continues. Arum doesn't want to use USADA. He wants to use WADA.

I hope that clears it up for you.

At the very least Manny agreed to testing up to 14 days before the fight
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/8698753.stm

There are lots of other links out there saying he agreed to full random drug testing, just not on fight day
http://www.boxinginsider.com/headlines/pacquiao-i-agree-to-random-blood-tests/

Manny has been trying to compromise and Floyd just keeps finding other excuses not to fight him.

Same stuff I posted even though my link was old. He said up to 14 days but then complained about the amount. Sid in your link it just further tells me he is juicing, what difference does it make who does the random testing as long as they are neutral. Manny just plain flatout ain't gonna do random blood testing. And I wonder why....................

I'm not an apologist for either camp, I was merely saying your link is outdated and Manny agreed to the testing. Whether Pacman is juicing or not is a different discussion.

Like ALL featured bouts, there's always an insane degree of speculation and circus.

what a crock of a conclusion. If I'm not mistaken, to date, 3 pro boxers have ever agreed to Mayweather's strict demands on random testing: Floyd Jr., Shane Mosley and Victor Ortiz. By your guilty without proof logic, no other boxer is clean.

No, it's not the "same stuff" as you referenced from Dec. 2009.

M0RPH's reference shows Manny has moved significantly from the earlier round of negotiations, with no contribution from the other camp. Manny doesn't need a guy who trumps up attacks with no evidence whatsoever; a guy who cold cocks the opponent just as he's hugging and apologizing.

He lost that's why.

Before his loss to Erik Morales, the Nevada Boxing Commission claimed to have 'lost' the results from his earlier blood test so he was forced to do a second one two days before the fight. He later said that he felt weak and had no power in his punches.

It might be all in his head... but if I believed it puts me at a disadvantage, especially against somebody of Mayweather's caliber, then I wouldn't do it either.

UGH. So now people who have no clue what boxing entails are going to talk about Mayweather being cheap. That FLYING FUCKING HEADBUTT from Ortiz was ridiculous. Mayweather waited a minute and then snuffed him just like he should've.

Not a big fan of either but, I agree with this. Also, wtf is up with Ortiz trying to hug him so much...just tap gloves instead of hugging so much and keep fighting.

i'd be hugging money may for the $2.5 million he gave me

Ortiz knew right away that he did something stupid and felt terrible about it. He's not a dirty fighter and not a bad guy, it seemed like he actually felt a lot of remorse. Mayweather, on the other hand, is the type of guy that will do things like throw elbows in his fights and cold cock guys who are not ready, and not feel a drop of remorse, because he has no morals or class.
