I'll be watching. He already did Fox News and held his own fine. I think the Dems need to give up their boycott and appear on Fox. In fact if I were a Dem I would insist on being interviewed by Hannity. That way one of the chief right conspirators can be called out directly on his bullshit.

I watched the last Real Time, and there was a woman on there complaining why the female D candidates weren't getting the air time Pete was, as if it was proof of male bias.

Otoh Pete is actually out there doing a lot of shows in lots of venues and doing well in all of them. I don't see any of the other Ds out there.

Maybe that's why....

I have no idea where Kamala (and Booker for that matter) have disappeared to.
 
Watched all of it. I'm increasingly convinced that this guy has a real shot. He's definitely going to be a top contender at least.

Edit: after watching it, I gotta say I'm impressed. The is the first full on interview I've seen with him, and he's a solid guy IMO.

No, that is an area Trump was wrong. Winning never gets tired, it is fun each and every time.

Listening to the interview now. I don't see why you guys are so smitten with him yet, but we'll see.
 
Guys like Trump according to Hannity couldn't be trusted to be President. Now Hannity and Slow suck Trump's dick. Meanwhile Mayor Pete is such a horrible person. Go figure.

What I've heard from him so far:

Do away with the electoral college... because his side didn't win, so now our very purposeful and long standing election process must change.

Medicare for all... free stuff!

Trump is bad and his supporters used the power of trolling better than the left did, they need to fix that.

We need to do all the things we whine about Republicans doing, but let's package it up in a nicer wrapper.

I love his reasons for the "national service" mandate and absolutely agree with him. But it's a weird thing to toss out there when many other democratic candidates are talking about reparations, basic income and other far more left leaning programs.

My wife and I spent an hour this morning on our run talking about how many different things you could do a "national service" for as a way of education, enrichment and exposure to host of things most people aren't willing to do otherwise. It's not dissimilar to FDR's new deal public works projects. Except you could tack it on the end of a college degree as a more hands on clinical or immersion program.

I wonder if this man, young as he is, could be goaded into saying something or behaving in a disqualifying way. If his opponents could throw out some bait and see if he bites. He's quick to respond and has a level of energy that you don't see in most candidates. His weakness might be if they trip him by using that rush to answer against him. To redirect that energy.

I figure it'd be some trap with policy. A calculated ploy to cause a misstatement. I hope his staff helps prepare him for such a debate. His forward honesty is endearing, but it also leaves him vulnerable to certain tactics.

They could record him talking to some entertainment reporter in a trailer and see if he says something crude, profane, and misogynistic. Deal breaker for sure.
